Vacationing in AZ, what to do?

I'm here in Phoenix AZ with my 11 year old son for 2 weeks. So far we visited Flafstaff, Sadona, and The Grand Canyon. We did a few local stuff like the really fast indoor gokarts, the wave pool and a trampoline park.
We are staying with my mother in down town Phoenix near the stadiums and university. I'm open to off road adventures if someone could recommend a nice orv rental spot.

Also looking to buy an Arizona rust free toy to bring back to the salty Michigan roads. Truck, car, whatever. I just want something that never seen salt!

We're actually caucasian. Thank you hot desert sun for giving us this wonderful bronze tan!

When I was down there vacationing I went off roading in Sedona. It was a blast. Lots of off road trails up there.

Arizona tanning has served you well! LOL @ caucasian comment.

Don't know if you feel like venturing down to the Mexican boarder town of Nogales....unless that's not your thing.

I've lived here my whole life and I have no clue what to suggest. Salt River Tubing (on a weekday not weekend to many party animals), Tombstone, Sedona or maybe a ghost town.

Ghost town sounds creepy and fun. About google it now.

Thanks for the laugh Graveshaker, funniest thing I've read in a while.
I'm no help as far as what to do, but I hope you and your son have a good time.

Around the valley, there isn't much to do in the summer other than movies, shopping, go karting (done) and eating/drinking. I wouldn't bother going to the southern end of the state, compared to up north you'll be underwhelmed. If you feel like another road trip, the white mountains near Show Low are beautiful.

P.S. I'll sell you my rust free E30 while you're down here, depending on your budget... :)

Jerome is the popular Ghost Town. Small place but neat none the less. Also Check out Prescott. I live in phx but I call Prescott home. Absolutely gorgeous right now and the history there is awesome!

I've been to Tombstone, Nogales, Jerome, Grand Canyon and Sedona. All really cool but I think I enjoyed the drives to each place most of all! How about a hike up camelback mountain?

Go to Canyon Lake and rent a boat/jet skis or just visit. Fun drive if you're into twisty canyon roads. Road is known locally as Tortilla Flat as that is the name of the "town" by the lake. As far as lakes go, I think it's the most scenic we have.
