    obsessed with my e30!

Ok, the first step in fixing a prob/addiction is admitting/recognizing it.

My name is Carlos and I am an e30aholic.

I am obsessed with my e30. I can't stop thinking about it. I can't stop thinking about what ALL I want to do to it, what to do next (better yet, what to do next in terms of what I really need vs. what I can afford). I have signed up for overtime not because I want to save money or help others but to fix the "what all I can do next with my car asap" issue. I have decided to get rid of it. . Seriously, as I sit here drinking a Heine, which is also another one of my addictions, I realize, "I am Carlos, an e30aholic."

I think about other cars all day long. Porsches, Australian and American V8s, Porsches, turbo Jap imports, Porsches...

Then I get in my car at the end of the day and all those other cars get wiped from my memory (except the 911s). Suddenly I'm thinking of KW coilovers, strut and sway bars, S50B32 or 2.8 M20 powah, 5-lug and bugg breakks...

But then I think about 911s and realise that my E30 is just me biding time, getting used to paying stupid amounts for spare parts so that when I buy my 911 its not so bad...

I had never been into cars as far as modding, tech, etc.... until I got an 84 318i and then became part of this site. Then my 318i got wrecked and I, already pretty much addicted to the e30, replaced it with a 90 325is (yeah, now it's really on)... The smell, the look, the silhouette, ze Germanism; there are other cars/SUVs that I would love to have but as far as a car to become a part of, afford, somewhat afford to mod and really enjoy, the e30 is the "shit"!

          Errr...

Yea...I'm addicted too. Worst part is, I can't concentrate on my school work anymore! I'm all wrapped up in my car plans for the summer!

          OH SHNAP! lol

That is probably about accurate. It started with ditching the US bumpers and, well, everyone has seen what happened to my car.

Now I rarely drive it, I hardly even have time to track it.
                  Im now E30less.

For me it was about 2-3 years, then like a scathing case of herpes, it came back.

Iain you are not alone in the 911 dept, it was my first automotive love, and remains to this day. One day it will happen.

Year and a half + college did it for me. I just don't care anymore.
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.
