On that note I have a question about my future. I'm a junior and basically have enough credits to graduate right now. So I have the option next year to go to CC for half day for two or three days a week ( all expenses paid for by the school) and take a few classes to get them out of the way. They will be in the morning so the second half of my day I’ll come back to my HS and do my 5 core classes I choose.
I would still be able to take at least one AP (economics) class at my high school, but I don’t think I’ll be able to take an AP science class since they are all in the morning. Should I take the classes at CC to get them out of the way so I dont have to worry about them in college or should I take a full day at my HS and possibly take two AP classes next year? I already have chem. And physics out of the way so there is nothing else to take except an AP class.Comment

AP classes and HS girls and not commuting > fucking CC credits. Community college girls are likely failures at life, and although maybe slutty, not quality pieces of college ass. One of the ones I know ended up on "First Time Auditions"
I took like 8 AP courses in High School and that did me better than would have going to the joke POS local community college. I could have taken more, but I was a slacker up until last spring.Comment

All this talk of Mc Donalds has made my hungry.... Holmes which branch do you work at???? Can I get the hook up? Tell you what, I trade you a dime for two DQP meals, supersized of course.Yours truly,

I know of a few gifted people that are thinking about taking some CC courses next year that have way more brains than you (no offence, I except the fact that they are smarter than me too). It's just a way to get some classes out of the way so you don’t have to worry about them your first year. Correct??
Taking 8 AP classes in my Hs career is out of question. I'll be happy with my 2 AP classes and my credit I got from Visual Basic last year. So with that said I might as well get even more credits on hand which I can get for FREE and not have to take AP classes to get them.
Heeter, what on earth are you planning to do with a Finance and economy major/minor when you get out of college? Aren’t those supposed to be bullshit majors that get you know where? And you talk so much smack

and if you don't think corporates need finance people in the coming decades, you're completely moronic.
what plan to do? fucking work in corporate finance, and maybe eventually get ballsy and go into venture capitalism. that would be interesting and fun... one of my friend's dad is in that.
as far as business being bullshit, who is going to fill in for the baby boomers running our companies when they retire? our generation like me.
and mr. highschool smarttypants, do you know what America's chief export is right now? any guess? business consulting. read something and don't be so stupid.
i'm in business, with a focus in finance (fuck accounting, shit). but I have to have a technical minor to go with my Industrial Management degree, and rather than waste my time with a Bio, Chem, Physics, Math, Engineering minor, I'm taking courses in Economic Honors.
worthless? my uncle was in the same IM / EH degree program and worked for Proctor and Gamble. man.... what a worthless company that is.
fucking kids.
listen, my school was strong in AP courses, probably top or 2nd in the state. It helps a lot. I have friends with like 50 credits going into college. Most end up being GE, but oh well.
Fuck CC. The quality of education sucks at them. Mostly because retarded real college dropouts go there to get their grades up. The education at your preppy uppity high school is probably tons better in comparison.

and by the way, its UW's strength in math and science that makes the school exceptional. . So Please refrain from putting the "hippie" hat on UW; pot smoking, frisbee throwing and guitar playing are traits more commonly associated with students from the surrounding schools. i think that most of the "hippie" social sciences are are still lacking here. however, over the next couple decades UW will have their shit together in terms of being an all-around great (its pretty close already). And yes, i agree with you that not everybody who goes here is a genius. i think that is true for almost any academic institution. Getting into the UW does say alot about ambition though. the kids who excel at this school can compete with people from top programs anywhere. Im sorry i cant say the same thing for the other schools in this region (although WSU does have its merits in certain fields- I cant believe i just admitted that.) Its a shame you didn't accept the transfer. I usually find that bringing another perspective to the table enhances the learning experience. perhaps you could have done something about the liberal hippie fucks instead of just insulting them.
yes, that was the wrong thing to say. I hate being labeled, and i did just that. Now that i actually think of it, the only point i'm trying to make here is that the school you attend is not a good measure of aptitude. Many of the smartest people in the world didn't go to college, or go to a state university that isn't considered "elite".
Granted, other schools are filled with more people who are just there to be there, but every school has thier good apples as well. Being labeled by where oyu live or where you go to schoo is not cool.
I retract my previous hippie comment.

hes actually right about this. i would base my decision on a couple factors. Keeping in mind (Holmes take note of this) that the general work ethic and amount of competition comprise most of the difference between the students at university and and studnets receiving upper level secondary education (AP or CC). so with that said, you need to ask yourself what you are looking for. both are good from the standpoint that you can build a credit buffer that allows you to disperse some of the university workload.
If you want to immerse yourself in a situation most similar to a university, you need to see if the CC is going to be harder than your AP classes. If your high school has an exceptional AP program, id stay there. BUT...and this is big.... if you cant pull off good scores on the AP tests, go to CC. think about it, if you get a low score on the tests, you only receive so many credits. If you do kinda bad in CC, you still receive all five credits. CC is also good, in that it allows you to build up some of the discipline that is needed for college. remember, they still take attendance in your AP classes. not so for CC. CC is a good indicator of your educational willpower.
and finally.... the girls are always way hotter in high school. CC is filled with young mothers, 30somethings going back to school, and those annoying bitches who have substituted airline luggage for a backpack. best of luck to you in your decision.Comment

You'll find out how untrue this is once you try to transfer somewhere.
BUT, it's not just because they're CC credits. Schools are funny about how they calculate how credits transfer from other schools- big, small, private, public, whatever.
