Yep I went to the Forum on my Dinosaur to see UFO in 1979. Now they only have swap meets there and everything cool is at the Staples Center.

I do. No joke. Thomas Dolby "Blinded me with Science". I was raised very musically by my dad. Our only enjoying time together was when we bonded through music. ALl my fucked up issues aside, I do remember. I remember coming home from Kindergarten and flipping on He-Man and Inspector Gadget(granted that was later on). Memory starts at around 3. :) Im sorry for coming off judgmental. I was quite drunk. I do agree that music is for listening and as long as somsone enjoys it, its done its job. Its not about being pious. Then one is the one that looks silly. Music is one of the best things in my life and gives me extreme satisfaction, its not right for me to downplay the effects that other types of music have on other people. I think music can have great powers. No matter what kind one likes.

Man I LOVED going to the Laker games at the Forum!! There were all SORTS of hoes at the Laker games. When tickets for the Collonade section were $9!! haha. I went to see ACDC there and recently saw the Stones a few months back. Its a MUCH better place for seeing shows/games. Every seat you have a good view. Not like the monstrosity that is Staples. Just another corporate stadium that wants to pack as many people into one place as possible to maximise $$$.

Agreed no soul at the Staples Center.

I spent my formative years at the Forum seeing everyone from Led Zep to Ton Loc. My girlfriend worked for a music publisher and we always had great FREE seats.

Every March I went to see the Rangers beat the kings (well most times) The best show I saw was by far the Stones they put on a hell of a show! I loved that place.

You saw them at the Forum in '75? My 'rents were there. Last time they played there until I went to see them earlier this year. My dad also saw Zep there a few times actually. He also saw the fucking DSOTM tour here in L.A. by the Floyd. Lucky fuck. I dont know if it was at the Forum though.

I guess it was 75 if that is the last time they were there. I would have said 77 but am not looking at the ticket stubs. I was at dsotm but if it is Floyd you want I must recommend the Wall at the Griffith Observatory. I saw that in about 1980 on a mind altering substance I will not name and THAT was by far the most fun/interesting/scary (ride home) show of my life. Floyd by far puts on the most interesting show! I stand by my stones statement however.

Im positive it was '75. They said it in the concert at the Forum and I have the shirt that has all their performance dates at the Forum. Yeah the Observatory was still doing those shows until about 2 years ago. They are closed for renovation and I think will resume when they open again.

75 it is. I am standing by their putting on a hell of a show (in their prime) I saw them a few years ago. Damn they are OLD!. lol

                    (still a good show though)

There is a comedian (Stever Wright?) that does a bit he goes

"The Stones, love the Stones, yeah the Stones love those Stones gotta heve the Stones, (Fred & Barney)"

                    lol

yes. I would have loved to see them while they were all Heroin/cocained up. They still rocked. I would have liked to see them even more when they had Mick Taylor. I saw that guy at the House of Blues and hes insane. "CAnt You Hear Me Knocking" is one of my favorite songs. I have a live bootleg of "Gimem Shelter" that substitutes and AWESOME guitar solo in place of the singing solo that was in the 70's and its one of my fav solos. And Ive heard a lot.

Maybe you should check out my friends band MilesBeyond.net. I wouldnt classify them as 80s metal, but they seem to be popular with that crowd anyways.
