but seriously, if it gets to a big city:

    mexico city
    mumbai
    rio

large cities, dense population, large slums

I'm just hoping that all the stupid people get it and die. I was only a volunteer at a hospital for a few months out of the year during high school and had to go through the same disease prevention classes that the full time staff goes through. The fact that nurses and doctors are getting it just shows that there is clearly a lapse in judgement somewhere down the line. Strictly speaking about the US cases and the doctors that were brought here... I understand that it is harder to control in less advanced/more densely populated areas of the world.

I'm still assuming the guy was thinking more Altanta/L.A./NY large city but from what I know of Rio et al it could spread as quickly among the poor there as it has in Western African countries.

I think we are well over due for a good old fashion plague. Plus we need a culling the world is getting to busy.

Not really though it is concerning when the people that are supposed to know what they are doing get infected.

                        What is "many lives?"

There are numerous other diseases in Africa that take ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE more lives than Ebola.

                        http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worl...to-Africa.html

Granted that's comparing Africa as opposed to just Guinea/Sierra Lione/Liberia, but the gubmint is just trying to distract you with typical fear mongering.
