I had it before, xbox threw a RROD. Sold all my 360 shit.

Today. Had lunch next door to gamestop. Go to leave and see this in the trash outside of GS. GTA 5 is in it and I turn it on and no RROD. Going to hook it up to HDMI tonight and hope all is good!

          Haha, score!

About the laptime, lemme take a look at my setup and see what I did. This setup is from a while ago so I don't remember.

Edit: Here it is in full.

          Tire pressure
          30psi front, 30psi rear

          Gearing
Can't change gear ratios, 3.73 rear end ratio

          Alignment
-1.5º Front Camber, -1.1º rear camber
          Zero toe front or rear
          5º Caster

          Springs
          584.2 lb/in front, 579.5 lb/in rear
Minimum front and rear ride height

          Damping
7.3 Front rebound, 7.1 rear rebound
5.8 Front bump, 5.6 rear bump

          Braking
60% Front bias (which I use on every car I have, though I don't think it's ideal)
          100% Braking force

          Differential
          75% Acceleration and deceleration lockup

Note: I would suggest less accel and decel lockup (around 50-55%) to decrease oversteer into, during, and out of corners. I was surprised to see mine was set so high. More decel lockup will rotate the car when you lift, if you're into that sort of thing.

This is my lap as well as a point of reference. This is from memory, so it won't be 100%. Also, it's obviously done with my setup so your experience may be a bit different.

I shift to fifth gear just before start-finish. I am full throttle until maybe two or three carlengths past the shadow for the bridge, in the center of the track, then hard on the brakes and downshift 4-3-2. I took two or three different lines through the first right-hander and they all ended up similar. Either stay left, slow down a bit more, and late apex to get on the throttle earlier or brake deeper towards the center of the track and track out farther on the way out.

Try to get about 3/4 of the way to the right of the track to set up for the left hand sweeper. Be careful as there's a crest near the apex here; if you're too hard on the throttle, the car will gain wheelspin and cost time as well as upset the car. I take this corner higher in third gear, feathering the throttle.

Quick upshift to fourth, then down to second for Turn 3. I keep a tight line here, treating this corner as a "throwaway." Higher in second gear, let the car either coast or apply light throttle. Stay to the LEFT exiting this corner to set up for 4. I upshift to third as I turn towards 4.

4 is an important corner as it leads onto a short straight. Make sure to get close to the curbing at the apex, but not too far over it as it will upset the car and you'll lose traction. Track out all the way to the left-hand curbing.

You should be high in fourth gear as you approach 5. I downshift to just under redline in third gear and balance the car on throttle. It'll be a bit hairy, but super-cool once you get it right! :D Classic line, don't miss the apex. You don't need to track out all the way to the right, just a bit past the center of the track. That way you have less of a sweep to set up for 6.

Turn 6 is a slower corner than 5, but treat it similarly. Brake lightly to get down to the middle of third gear or so, then make sure to hit the curbing at the apex. Don't get on the throttle too early! The corner is a bit longer than it appears and you'll go wide and dirty the lap.

Upshift to fourth gear down the short straight, BUT NOT FIFTH! You should be just below redline in fourth when you reach the braking zone for the hairpin.

Make sure to be at the left side of the track and start braking just after the beginning of the curbing on the left. Hard braking down to high second gear. Like Turn 5, let the car grip while you either coast or maintain throttle. Apply power smoothly on the way out to keep the tail in line.

The uphill esses are pretty tricky and an easy place to lose a lot of time (or a clean lap). Make sure to be full throttle all the way up to the first turn-in, then lightly (not suddenly) lift partway. This keeps the weight from shifting forward too quickly and rotating the car, but allows it to point in a bit. Keep maybe 3/4 throttle until the apex of the right ess, then full throttle on the way out. Upshift to fourth at track-out of the second ess.

Hard on the brakes just past the exit road on the right before the left-hander. End up in mid to high third gear and hit that apex! If you don't, there's a lot of speed left on the table. This is my worst corner I'd say.

Hard on the throttle for the short chute, then lift (don't brake!) into the right-hander leading to the back straight. I'd say lift maybe a second after all the bumps? I can't remember a good visual mark.

Full throttle all along the straight, catch fifth gear near the kink. Stay to the right on approach to the chicane. Brake hard just before the second-to-last brake marker, downshift to third. You can carry third gear through the chicane without too much excitement, and I believe I could gain some time here if I worked on it.
You can possibly catch fourth gear on the way to the final corner; it depends on your speed through the chicane. Stay wide, brake down to low third gear, and don't be too anxious with the throttle. Try to apex a bit late, probably later than you want, and you should track right out to the curbing on the left. I tend to upshift to fourth right at the end of this curbing, give or take.

I hope that helps you guys some! :)

I'm keeping the original motor NA. all upgrades maxed out.
what's the best over all grip tune? I can't seem to get it right.

I'm not familiar with that game, but I'd imagine you'd want to make sure the springs are stiff enough to control body roll but not so stiff the car starts to skitter over bumps. Make sure the damping allows the suspension to move; e.g. not so stiff it can't absorb bumps. I'd use no more than the camber settings I listed, but you could try more positive caster if you wanted to. I'd imagine the same characteristics I mentioned would apply to that game as far as the car being tail-happy if you're too greedy with throttle application. Try lowering the lockup percentage on the diff; lowering the "accel" setting will keep the car more settled when you apply throttle, and lowering the "decel" setting will keep it from over-rotating into corners.

I'm going to change my rear end ratio to see how big of a difference that makes. My set up was fairly similar. A bit stiffer, same camber, some toe in to help turn in, blah blah

Changed the diff and dropped my time to 2:16.218. I'll probably tinker some more with the tune and see what else I'm leaving on the table.

A few notes about my lap, I drop down to 1st on turn 1 only because if I do it correctly, I get that little bit of rotation around the hairpin. But like ELVA mentioned, every line pretty much ends up the same. I'm pretty much the same through everything else. The long straight leading up to the final chicane is very important for a quick time. I was a full second in front of my ghost leading up to this and lost it all by missing the apexes. I tend to brake earlier so I can throttle through them earlier. There is a lot of room to go off into the grass before it marks the lap as dirty. The final corner is by far my worst corner.

Which final drive ratio are you using? Laps where you're way ahead and lose it all (usually near the end) are so upsetting, haha. That seems to happen to me in the left-right leading onto the back straight.

I put it on 3.79. I was not expecting the final drive to shave that much off. Does anyone else rev match with the controller? I adopted braking with my middle finger and clutch with the index finger.
