      Pretty much the same general area from all of North America. To review, (assuming one made it through the hazards of the infrastructure of the Earth) you'd be stranded in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the ocean. No thanks.

          Middle of freggin nowhere in the middle of the ocean as usual.... East of the southern tip of Africa, almost directly southeast of the bottom of Madagascar. wopee

            Southeast of Madagascar......roughly due east of the most southern tip of Africa. Between 35 and 40 degrees latitude and 60 to 70 degrees longitude (800 miles south of the Tropic of Capricorn.....southern Indian Ocean region).

            In other words, I better have a lifejacket handy. Seaworthy boat might be a good idea too.
