He's not joking. I've got 5 r/c cars (4 are nitro) and I bet I've got as much into them as my car cost initially. So if I didn't buy any r/c cars I could probablly be close to an S50 swap by now..

i don't think those r/c at all... those are cord line models... simplest sh*t you can make! i might scan some russian models(layouts 'n stuff) if i'll find those... i myself used to be into control line airplanes, similar, but you have two cords to control up or down.. it was FUN! too bad american people don't even know what it is...

From what I've heard they're pretty damn good. I would just get rims and put pvc pipe over them like everyone else does. I heard the drift rings suck and break off way too easily. I had a set of shitty wheels for my NTC3 (2-speed nitro onroad) and put pvc over them but the engines rev too damn high so it just sits there and spins the tires. But it works damn good on all the electric drift cars.

I had a savage as well. Thing was $400 new and I put about another $700 into it in hop-ups and just breaking shit. They are fun but real cars are way better. At least you can get it them and go fast instead of standing there and watching.
