It is illegal for them to turn off utilities even if they are included in your rent (which in an aparment is rare) without written notice. I strongly urge you to start a journal of incidents (go back as far as you can remember) keep updating it, and use it when you are ready to move to get her ass fined off.

parker - I know, If I had kept a journal from the time I moved in, there is not a drunken Judge that wouldn't feel sorry for me. I tried to video(cell phone) her today during our argument, just cause it would make you laugh your ass off.

High school debate class? - yea, she didn't take that class. Her logic baffels me.

things like "I'm allowed in your place now cause I own the building"

"You must be hidding something if you won't let me in - what are you doing in there?"

"A good mangement company/landlord inspect their units every 3 months to prevent water damage" (as if I wouldn't notice - umm helllo0ooo I live here!)

"Why do you have to park you car backwards? is that cause you are an e30 uber fag?" Ok - I made that one up, I would have hi-fived her for that slam...

And no Ryan - but I have to decline.

Parker - they turned the h2o, and juice off to fix another appartment - she is now claiming it's a "emergency" repair (althought I gather she has know of the prolbem for 2 weeks, and the "emergency" is her timetable to fix it. No appartemnt is flooded, or in danger - there is some wet sheetrock that has been that way for a while I found out.

An "emergency" was when my appartment was flooded (with sewage), and was promised to have it fix before I got back from t-day visit to my mom - I asked for it to be disinffected, and carpet replaced. (I was gone 1 week) I returned no find nothing had been done, I had to remove the carpet myself. She ten asked me for another week to "remodel" my bathroom - and she did - but it took 2 months.

WOW - the more I look as this the worst it sounds - I wish I was making it up - cause I feel like a SHUMCK!

^there is the beginning of your journal.

I am sorry and believe me I know what you are going through in the late 80's I had an apartment with a leaking roof that never got fixed (after six month of paying the rent with a request in the memo to fix it as they had ignored letters with my check three months prior)

I stoped paying rent, two months later they tried to evict me, (wait a minute I was month to month) it was three months before we got to court and between my pictures of the ceiling, my copies of the notes and canceled checks asking for repair I was PAID moving expenses and filing fees and did not pay the back rent.

I now suggest you start putting in the memo area please give reasonable notice prior to appearing at my door, then LET her evict you. Get statements from your nieghbors re her behavior and look for a place to move. I don't know about S.B. but in L.A. it takes a while to get before a Judge.

I you're looking for cheap, then stay far, far away from seattle. I am in the final month of my year long lease here, and i am very happy that i never have to pay rent at this place agian. Granted, it is very nice and brand new, but $2450 a month (split three ways) for a 3 bed room apartment plus another $100 to park each car is a bit too much for a starving college kid like me. Shit, my mom's old house in Puyallup had a morgtage payment of about 2400 for a 6 bedroom, 3200 sq. ft. with a pool and sport court in puyallup. I can say i will never again live in a big city like i am now.
