I'm starting to reject the idea of global warming since I also read an article that the ozone layer was getting better; the thing which hampered it's revival the most was volcano eruptions if I remember correctly. Anyway, I will support ways of harnessing energy like solar, wind, water, whatever, and that they should be used more. I find it rather naive of people to pass these viable sources of energy off as too expensive or just not enough to power everything. There should be competing companies mass producing solar panels or something, and then covering the roofs of schools and factories or other industrial buildings where nobody will ever have to see them if they don't like how they look. The power they generate may not be enough to run an entire building, but it will help, and if a lot of buildings are doing this, it adds up. I saw on PBS about a major island that was powered entirely by wind and solar energy. I find that pretty cool I guess.

You know e85 is a pretty shitty fuel . It takes more energy to produce than it makes, relies on diesel to transport it everywhere. Gets 2/3 the gas milage and makes 30% less power, and is only cheap because of govt subsidies.

Low sulfer diesel ftw. The regs. are changing some but this is probably the best bet we have. Just gotta get the NOx numbers down enough to satisfy the tree-huggers.

It's not like any of use are ever gonna have a use for smoke detectors, cordless tools, bar codes, fire-resistant fabrics, improved medical-imaging technology, cleaned-up satellite signals, light-weight plastics used in food storage, water-purification systems, *deep breath*, scratch resistant lenses, portable coolers and warmers, shock-absorbing helmets, fogless goggles, quartz crystal timers, solar power, high-speed telemetry systems, environmental analasys tools, sewage treatment tech, energy efficient air conditioning systems, air purifiers, optimised cancer-detection devices, laser angioplasty, *gaaaaasp*, cool suits, ultrasound scanners, MRI machines, cataract surgery tools, ferromagnetic liquids, gasoline vapor recovery systems, wireless communications, advanced welding techniques and tools, firefighting air tanks, Doppler radar, lead poison detection, corrosion protection, lightning detectors, studless winter tires, improvements in brake lining technology, improved wear tires, advances in lightweight composite materials, cleaner, quieter, and more efficient jet engines, structural analasys programs, advanced environmetnally-friendly lubricants, or clean methane powered engines.

Yeah, the space program really just hasn't done a damned thing for us has it?

You know what I would REALLY love to do? Import a 324TD over here, and run it on Biodiesel. My friend Seth has a MkII GTi running Biodiesel, getting 65 mpg.
