Do you research your area, or gang violence in general? I live in the ghetto but to my knowledge there isn't any large scale gang activity in southern FL (maybe in some parts of Miami).

Wheaton is a city nearby my town of Kensington, and its become a hotspot for cheap illegal labor, a sort of "little spanish" town.

There have been some MS-13 related incidents relating to stabbings and fights in schools about two minutes away from my home. But crime is very low in the town of Kensington, and I don't fear being out at night, but the immigrant population seems to be getting larger, and with that, an increased chance of gang violence.

yeah if you aren't looking for trouble you probably won't find it. In some towns it is a different story.
I got beaten down by a bunch of thugs in 97 while I was skateboarding. They jumped out of the jeep they were in and proceeded to fuck with a friend and I. I had never really been messed with like that before so I wasn't ready... they kicked the shit out of us before we could pick up our boards. Now I am alot bigger and know how to handle myself in thos situations... a skateboard can be a very useful instrument of destruction when swung accordingly.

I grew up in Hollywood where there is a large M.S. click/population, East Hollywood is split between 4 large L.A. gangs. White Fence, 18 St., M.S. XIII, and ClantonX14St. In Hollywood, most of them are just gangbangers, everyone uses bats, guns, knives (rarely), not just the Salvis. They are also among the hoods that pay the most rent to the Mexican Mafia to have the 13 at the end of their name. Due to the fact that they arent Mexican, supposedly. But theres Mexicans, all types of people in there, to keep membership up. Just like 18 St has blacks, Armenians, recent immigrants and all that. Last time I heard, 18St had by far the most membership in the U.S. Most if not ALL other Latino hoods HATE M.S. and 18st. But Ive known people from both hoods, and its like everything, theres good and bad people everywhere.
