If we're going to generalize... as much as I like muscle cars, they're too expensive. It seems though, that many people in that scene seem to have done well enough in life to make the right decision and show up in a late '60's Mopar. However, sometimes you get the idiot with the poorly-restored '77 Corvette craigslist special he bought trying to be cool. The guy who wants to hang out with everyone else, but just doesn't get it.
The author seems like one of those guys. For example...
Referencing Finnegan when Freiburger is clearly the brains of the operation
"Politely, they can f**k off" - excellent use of hyperbole
"Generalizations are dangerous, but acknowledging this fact somehow allows me to state them without accountability" (paraphrased for clarity)
"Nobody is entitled to an opinion unless you can back it up with facts" - proud owner of a '77 'Vette
It would be awesome if the article were about a particular occurrence the author had or if he provided a clear example of what he was talking about. Most editorials start out with a real experience and from there the author reflects on how it made him feel or a realization he had. This just sounds like a guy who owns a crappy car and got offended when someone told him they thought it was a piece of shit
Also: vape nashe!

I'm less than 36(1980 seems to be a generally accepted lower cutoff) so I guess I'm a millennial.
I guess I should start sucking on that robot dick.
I don't want to sound like a hypocrite, but aren't most of the kids/vapers/stance kids actually Gen Z? 1995-2000 seem to be the two major dates that Gen Y and Gen Z border.

What can be taught, how it can be taught. The different type of rules and how those rules are implemented within the schools. It all takes its toll. Can say that each decade continues to get more uptight, for better or worse, with one result being that free speech isn't encouraged and critical thinking is not a factor.
Times do change and education helps facilitate change within a society. Just because you don't notice it with your kids doesn't mean it's not working out there with their friends. Brushing it off as just a generational right of passage to complain about the younger generation is being lazy. Im out!

I have young kids in school - not sure i understand what you're talking about, other than vauge references to PC and generalizing a bunch of people based on when they were born.
And if it is true guess who's fault it this? These are the children and grandchildren of the very generations who love to complain about them.

This is what I've started to do:
I wave or flash my highs to anyone who looks like a car enthusiast. Doesn't matter what make, model, or...type of modification is on display. I used to poo-poo all that stuff, but at the end of the day they're just as excited about cars as I am. I may not personally like all of it, but I also don't own the cars!

The mods that only serve as a way to get attention, those annoy me.
I mean, I get that some chicks are naturally an attention whore, but that same vibe coming form a dude and his car is just pathetic IMHO.

Ah yes the politically correct car scene... Where everyone has to accept everybody's opinion on their style of car, or how they modified it. People need to get over the fact that not everyone likes the same stuff. I know people don't like what I like. Do I really care? NO.....
