new Top Gear, what does r3v think

Because Eddie is the real deal; an actual racing driver. Maybe he's not as successful as a driver as Hobbes was, perhaps after he crushed his leg in an accident he lost his desire to get back into one of those rolling coffins of those days. Oh yeah, and he ran his own Formula 1 team for years, so he's got the knowledge, too. Maybe he'll replace Evans; wouldn't be a bad choice. -
Rory,Leblanc, Harris should be the top gear trio. I think it would be better then what they have now. Then again, anything would be better...

One thing I dislike about the reboot is that during the challenge films, they spend so little time actually talking about the cars, their strengths and their quirks. The old trio were (and I'm sure still are) great at getting you to root for/against a particular car by how much they loved or hated it. Even the TGUS guys did better at that.Leave a comment:

I had never heard of Eddie Jordan before the new TG, and I don't know why he's there, aside from the fact he's involved in F1 (I think). IMO he doesn't have a TV personality. I like Sabine as a guest, but she's just not good as a host.
I'd like to see a lineup of Matt, Chris, and Rory, but I don't know how well Matt would fit into that group. I haven't watched past the first two episodes though.Leave a comment:

I like where the show is going now. I think I was just super anti Top Gear because of Evans. I think LeBlanc makes a good "talking head" and Chris and Rory can do the real car reviews. I think they need to get rid of extra gear and just promote their stuff in the actual show. I like Sabine, but I think they should save her for when they need someone who can actually drive, like Tanner Faust in the Old Top Gear US. I don't know why Eddie Jorden is there.... maybe just to be "that guy".Leave a comment:

I hate Harris on top gear. I cant stand the way he describes cars. I can only imagine he drives these cars with a massive erection in his trousers.Leave a comment:

Evans is now gone.

Sounds like Matt is getting tired of Evans too. I'd love to see a Matt,
Chris Harris, and Rory Reid be the main hosts. I know Matt isn't the best host, but I really like him.

Third episode was pretty good, to be honest. Mostly due to the lack of Evans lol.Leave a comment:

i've said it more than once here.Re: Sabine Schmitz
His & Hers hot laps of the hot cars. Make 'em flip a coin to see who goes first. But she's not funny enough to be a regular presenter.
But they need a comedian who's really into cars, and who's spontaneously funny but can discuss them seriously, too (write more for LeBlanc? He can deliver a punch line, we know that). Adam Ferrara doesn't do it on TGUS. Is there a Brit Leno? Eddie Jordan can be funny, but we haven't seen enough of him to know.
There's gotta be another David Hobbs out there somewhere.
Adam Carolla.
track-day enthusiast, and i spent a lot of high-school nights laughing at his banter on the radio show LoveLine. if he were brought on to replace anyone on the new TG staff, he would be the funniest by a long shot. i'm sorry, but bringing in LeBlanc to be the comic relief is just not working.
final argument- this is him in front of his E30 M3.
