His & Hers hot laps of the hot cars. Make 'em flip a coin to see who goes first. But she's not funny enough to be a regular presenter.

But they need a comedian who's really into cars, and who's spontaneously funny but can discuss them seriously, too (write more for LeBlanc? He can deliver a punch line, we know that). Adam Ferrara doesn't do it on TGUS. Is there a Brit Leno? Eddie Jordan can be funny, but we haven't seen enough of him to know.

There's gotta be another David Hobbs out there somewhere.

Biggest peeve with the US version is that after every commercial break you have to endure 60 seconds of replays of things you already saw, as if American viewers are goldfish, and TGUK has never committed that sin.

This is basically true with most of US TV, and it's freaking annoying. I press the "skip ahead 30" button 8 times for TGUS commercial breaks - 3:30 for the ads themselves and an extra :30 to not have to watch a recap of what I just watched less than ten minutes ago.

Just watched the first episode. So far just cant stand Evans, everyone else is fine. I actually really like Sabrines humor and voice, isnt as annoying as Evans.

The second episode was an improvement, and even with the awkward guest segment in studio & the intro bit it was a fair program over all. I really liked the guests coming along for the road trip as it seems to keep any Matt/Chris issues in check.

EG was also watchable again, although Rory in car was not as good as Rory in studio. Evans' emotions about the McLaren seemed genuine, although there may be a touch of manopause going on there.

Wow, just watched Extra Gear. 10x better than Top Gear.

Top Gear is definitely gearing towards everybody, where as Extra Gear is geared toward car enthusiasts who don't care about the stupid jokes and scripted scenes.

And I would DEFINITELY like to see more of Sabine as a host.

I pretty much echo everything said here. I am willing to give them a chance though as it was only the first episode. Every first episode of EVERY TV show kinda sucks, even award winners. They might get better.

They definitely need a third person though.

I can't stand Evans, I really tried to keep an open mind about it, but he just ruined the show for me. Adam Ferrara did the same thing for me in TGUS, I don't think I even finished the first season because of him.
