I have XM in two cars, and really like it (Opie & Anthony > Stern). No reception problems except when under canopies at gas stations and etc. Fees are reasonable. Old-timey radio was mentioned previously (The Shadow, etc.) and XM has it too. Also online availability, better units for portable (outside the car) use, etc. You can get XM or Sirius hidden add-ons that function through your aftermarket head unit. In fact, a lot of the units out there that are stamped "Sirius Ready" can be used with XM as well, at least according to the info on Crutchfield's website.

I'd go XM, based on personal experience.

i recently bought Sirius for my GF's Rav4, as we do all our long drives in her car. i think its great, the only thing i could ask for is a way to hardwire it to the stereo(OEM), as using the FM transmitter is hit-and-miss...

If u like hip-hop, then channel 43 is the SHIZNITE!!!

sorry luke didn't know you distributed those, I'll keep that in mind since I think I'm trading the fusion in for a five hundred or a mariner in a few months (getting promotion = car upgrade)

How do you like the Fusion? I am looking for a new sedan (my Passat is totaled, thanks Dad) and was thinking of looking at the Zephyr which is a Lincolnified Fusion.

I'll most likely end up with a 330 or a MB C 335 but I want to look at the Americans at least.

I doubt the government would subsidzie an entertainment company. Your Sirius rep is SORELY misinformed.

Totally OT, but I wanted to answer this:

Gripes with the fusion: The 4 banger is woefully underpowered, no experience in the awd v6 versions. Big blind spots, the A/B/C pillars easily hide cars. For a smaller midsize I expected better visability. In fact the taurus had better.

I'm 5'10" and around 200-210#. Wear a 44reg suit. The seats kill me, the buckets are two damn small. Similar in size to the ill fitting e30 sport seats. Might just be my wide shoulders though, since bigger guys than me claim to fit fine in e30 sports.

It's relatively small inside compared to a larger exterior. I work in my car all day, and these things make a difference. I'm a man who needs the 8 golfbag capacity of the five hundred.

true, reps make up shit all the time, but usually information that HELPS the company their repping in some way. That is just STUPID.

                              Its definitely a possibility.

Both companies are doing decent at best. My sirius rep may be full of it but at the same time I do agree that its kinda weird how sirius ran into so much money out of no where. Stern alone was a $500 million dollar contract. And yes I also agree that most reps will say anything to benefit they're company in any way. In this case I cant see how telling me that they were in financial trouble was benefiting they're company.
