Off topic photoshop thread. Lets see some work non R3V related

Currently going to school for my associates degree in the Science Field of Multimedia , this is not limited to 2d but 3d work as well.
I began not really caring for photoshop as I for some reason thought it was too hard for me to like , but for some reason began to see the value of it and actually started having fun.

Now, obviously , it is not perfect work. but here, perfection is and still kind of is not relevant to me unless I feel it needs to be. So it is obvious I do need work in some areas of the application.

Parody Movie Poster for my photoshop class:

Never heard it phrased as the Science Field of Multimedia. That sounds great, and hilarious, to me. My former job title was Multimedia Designer. Currently a UI Designer.

Parodies and alternative versions of existing items are a great way to learn. The one thing I'd say is really hone your photoshop chopping skills. Good cutouts take a lot of time and really make a difference in the final project.

Edit: Also, you have to learn web design or you won't get anywhere in this field. At least HTML and CSS.

I dabbled with c# for a video game development intro class my first semester . it was okay , I just was not used to writing code and neither was our instructor , I know you can do alot of cool stuff with programming just in general though.

I'd do more parodies just to see what i can learn , i might even sign up for the second course this semester because I'm not sure if I have. 3d modeling was supposed to be my focal choice in courses but they were fooling around with the choices of classes for my major . Yes , there are associates of science and fine arts for multimedia here at San Diego Mesa College. This project/assignment was a mere procrastination that I was pretty happy with , I am confident with my developing skill in the application.

HTML is not a programming language like C or C#. It's a mark up language. And it's what defines the content of a website. The CSS defines how a site looks. You'll never make a lot of money in design unless you can do web design as well. Then you can offer clients a complete branding package. Ads, banners, business cards, email templates, and their site itself. People like the convenience of a one stop shop.

The whole one stop shop thing i agree with, that'll net alot of interest for peoplw not wanting to go grab multiple sources. The 2d realm was not something i really planned to go in depth to learning as much as 3d ; but going back to what you said on you never hearing about my major , its fairly new i want to say.

Multimedia Design is not new. Lol. I'm pretty sure it's been around since the 90s. They can call it the Science Field of Multimedia if they want, that might be new. But the training you're receiving is not for a recently created job market.

This is what I meant . The major is new , which is why at the beginning of this semester some 3ds classes were not available . The job market I initially wanted to pursue was modeling and product production by 3d printing and/or CNC.

I play with it here and there, When I was younger I did a ton of car related work (4-doors into 2 doors, cartoon style, color changes, all kinds of fun shit) but it's lost on one of my old pre-sata hard drives. Speaking of which I need to rig up something to access those.

Anywho, played with a photo of my Mom's 68 Bird. She didn't like the wheels I put on it. They weren't my first choice but the angle was workable.
