Im doing a paper on BMWs. Need r3v input

My topic to discuss is "All BMW drivers drive a BMW because of its status symbol." Just if you guys could input why you drive a BMW and not something else like a Honda S2000.

So is that your thesis? I definately don't drive a BMW because it is a status symbol. I drive my BMW because it is like a street legal go kart, its fun/easy/relatively cheap to mod and I love the way it looks.

Not really a thesis. More like a paragraph with 3 examples to prove what Im getting at that it is false. But I should use the same idea for my term paper. Unless this turns into a term assignment.

hhhmm, well i drive a BMW becuase it is fun, and it is easy for a young guy like me to own. maybe a tad of it is because it is a BMW and they have an air around them that they are nice cars, but that isnthte main reason.

I drive one because it's been in my blood since I was really small, and I know what older ones (2002's/E30's) can do with the right parts.

k on the serious. I am 31, I make great money. We have a vdub as my daily, a 4runner for the girl and trips to the family beach and lake house, and the e30 b/c I love them. It isn't a status symbol. It is a 19 year old car!!!! However, I wouldn't buy an e46 because it doesn't work in my life. Status in my opinion isn't how much you spent on your car, it is your quality of life.

only new bmw's are a status symbol. the only reason i drive a bmw is because i picked it up for $100. if i could've found a honda for $70, id be driving one of those instead.

i drive my E30 cause its better and more reliable than the POS honda i had b4. its also more fun to drive around and take to the track.

I drive one (a few) because it(they) were willed to me by a friend.
He drove them because everyone in his family had one since the 60s.

i went from a/c vw's, to H2O vw's (a-2s), to the porsche (914-6).all modded and built by me. always liked the e-30s could never afford one or to buy one and mod it. now i can, and i wanted a replacement that handled like the modded vw a-2 or better (like the porsche), rode nice (not like the porsche), had a radiator/AC (unlike the porsche), and was RWD (like the porsche). like it has already been said there is no real status (other than having a clean e-30 will get you looks just beacuse it is out of the ordinary) to owning/driving a 15+ year old car.
