Little crack-age going on there (I assume from too much heat on worn thin heat fatigued metal) along with a little Undercutting but over all the weld dose not look too bad

welding to a camshaft is not easy I even pre heated the cam but still not enough. its not undercut kinda looks like it from the pic but i can assure you its not. was thinking about using Silicon bronze rod but ended up using some crazy expensive Stainless. as you can see it didn't work. because of the cracking issue i will remove that whole top peice and make a aluminium sleeve with set screws to hold it on and weld a 1/8 inch alu plate 12 dia to that. should look good when i am done.
