        Its a very nice flying aircraft as well. I wish I could have flown on it longer. 30 min isn't long enough. I'd have loved the trip from Napa to Olympia they did yesterday. That would have been epic.

                    not that its affordable to anyone who isn't a pro, but an 85mm f1.2 wide open would have been even better.

                    someone on my local craigslist had a 50mm f1.2 with a damaged filter ring for about 900 bucks. certainly got the wheels spinning in my head.

                                Well not that its anything more that braging rights, and the fact this is a 5 figure 50mm but the Leica M system 50mm F0.95 has a bit narrower focal plane wide open than even the f1.2

                                                        Futzing around with my IR filter in the back yard.







                                                        I'm sort of considering buying a DSLR body that has been converted to shoot IR rather than using a filter. An IR camera might be fun to use for doing astrophotography. My D7000 seems to have issues focusing with the filter on.
