Not really no, our public school system is so far down the shitter its not funny. I was lucky enough to goto the only worthwhile public school in the state. We actually managed to be in the top 300 public Highschools in the nation while I was there.

What, are they going to stick the motor in the back of the Vette now?

The reasons Porsches perform like they do is their skewed weight distribution. They are uber tricky to drive hard at their limits, but reward you with amazing cornering abilities.

If you want to drive a really tricky 911, give any of the pre-'69 cars a spin (literally). They are the shortest wheelbase and in turn, will kick the ass end out upon getting out of the gas in a turn.

The best way to drive a Porsche thru the corner is to lift, rotate the tail, add a little opposite lock, and jump back on the gas. It will literally squat, bite, and hook. Best part is, you're already on the gas in the corner!

Frame: wow, it's now aluminum ... too bad racers are too afraid to bolt/weld up a steel roll cage to aluminum frame rails ... looks like they can't use this on their race cars...

suspension: same geometry ... just lower, different suspension and damping rates

body panels: now w/ vents and shit, and some carbon thrown in for good measure .... bigger fenders too ... but it STILL LOOKS SIMILAR TO A BASE C6

engine: dry sump and titanium internals, and a larger displacement ... but still based on the same block

            brakes: bigger

Despite this, the basic design principles haven't changed ... and in my book, a supercar's engine is behind the driver.

H0lmes: At least get an Associates degree before you make the assumption that you know more shit than other people. A GED only goes so far ...

I dont get your point. Everything you listed is indeed different from the c6.

I guess what I was trying to get at was that in order to be considered a supercar, GM needs to make a car that doesn't look similar to a Corvette. Can they get supercar performance from a Corvette? Sure, the Z06 showed that, but it doesn't have the outlandish styling or mid engine layout that make a supercar IMO

Why would a company test an engine in a car that it won't be going into? Saying "It's just a test mule" is just as stupid is saying it is the real thing.

Its done all the time when the engine is in development but the cars design hasnt been finished.
