    Casino Royale

You know, I had serious doubts about Daniel Craig as the new 007 when I first heard about it, but I think I'm starting to change my tune. This movie looks like it's going to be SICK.

The problem is more in the production/directing than the acting. James Bond movies lost the hype long time ago. Now it's more about explosions, etc...

That being said... this movie still looks more promising than the previous ones. Hopefully it doesnt end up like the last two-three segments.

After seeing Layer Cake, I have full confidence in Daniel Craig as Bond.

Cool, except for the corny car flip at the end of the trailer.

I loved Layer Cake, but I just couldn't see Craig as Bond. But after seeing the trailer, I'm feeling it a lot more.

And I thought Die Another Day was pretty damn good, except for that HORRIBLE cameo by Madonna.

I think that the last "good" bond movie was Goldeneye. As far as bonds go I dont like Craig but I'll go see Casino Royale like the good fan boy I am. I still think that Clive Owen would have been a great James Bond.

^ I agree completely. Everything since Goldeneye has been getting worse and worse.

And I'd rather see Clive Owen over Craig as well

Clive Owen would be perfect. He's got a "badass car guy" image since the BMW short films.

Yeah, I wanted Clive Owen as well, so did everyone else in the natural world, but he actually turned it down.

I agree goldeneye was the alst good bond movie. I am hoping casino brings back more of the 60's flair. This movie has the chance to make or break the series. Good job and they are back on top. Bad job and we have another George Lazenby

Agreed, he'll at the very least not be the worst Bond. Timothy Dalton gets that award. First BMW Film I saw I thought Clive Owen would be perfect for Bond, maybe he'll go for it in the future.

I hold out hope this movie will bring Bond back to something harkening back to the classics.

Owen turned it down because he wasnt interested in being pigeonholed in being Bond. It would kind of override all his other work and he knew that. I havent seen a Bond film since Goldeneye and have had no interest in it. the new Jerry Bruckheimer-ish trend in all forms of film has completely turned me off. Explosions, CGI, impossible reactions by cars, humans, to all sorts of forces just makes it too unbelievable to me and makes me lose interest.
