This movie is fucking sick. Definitely the best Bond I've seen, and really a good movie, not just a good Bond movie.

Meh, it doesnt hold a candle to the Connery Bonds. Its got all the modern bullshit to entertain the children but I was hoping if they were going to modernize it they would have made it a dark tragedy or something. In the beginning I thought it was gonna be a movie about Parkour (hey, its trendy! Lets just toss it in there) and Ford product placements.

The love story was ghey and obviously faked. I know they are based off the same books but, cmon, you could at least try a little. Also an aston wouldnt crash like that unless he left the road and managed to dig in, and even then the chassis is stiffer than that and has all around airbags.

Brosnan (instead of Bronson, different character) was a btter bond and probably the second best behind Connery. Craig was better in Layer Cake. I liked how he played the character but it wasnt Bond and it wasnt coldness, it was someone in between. Bond is an assasin not a waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles.

I would make for a horrible Bond unless it was a half hour TV spot. I would be killing everyone instead of playing dice with them and would probably run out of bad guys in 22 minutes.

Wasn't Jerry Bruckheimer the guy who did the BMW shorts? - I seem to remember there was a few different directers (Guy Ritchie for one), but I thought Bruckheimer was in on the deal too - so somehow got his hands on Clive at some point.
I agree Clive is too good for Bond, but it would have been cool. And so far people aren't giving Pierce credit - he saved the Bond series.
All I ask of a Bond movie is to entertain -- unrealistic everything, and plenty of it. If I want dark and realistic I'll watch a 'Faces of Death'.
Bond is fun - and it seems like that's the whole point. waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles Galore? Plenty O'toole? whatever Onatop?
Die another day tried to be too cool, small pun, but as long as it's not Dalton or Moore I'm fine with all of teh others. Even mole man.
Haven't seen the new guy yet, but I expect unrealistic explosions when Odd-Job could kill you with his hat.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

You have to remember this is a prequel, and Bond is just becoming what he is in the next 20 movies.

BTW, a sequel to Casino Royale is already in the works...Bond 22.

Right, because Bond never drove an Aston Martin in any of his movies or anything before ford bought them.

As for the shitty ford: http://www.ford.com.au/servlet/Conte...1024&c=DFYPage

I could deal with 330+ HP, rear drive and a 6 speed.

Dude, you said Brosnan was your favorite Bond, that pretty much renders anything else you have to say on this matter null and void. Brosnan was worse than Timothy Dalton, he did more to kill the series than BMW's stupid product placement deals. I liked Craig, I liked the tone of the film. I think he'll be great.

^ Agreed for the most part... but Dalton better than Brosnan? I dunno about that. Not saying Brosnan was any good, but Dalton sucked THAT much. lol

                    As it stands IMO:

                    - Connery
                    - Craig
                    - Moore
                    - Brosnan
                    - Dalton

+1. Fucking awesome movie, although I think it could have been a little shorter. Granted, it'll never win any Academy Awards, but it was a great film, and Craig makes the perfect Bond.

                      Bond: Martini on the rocks.
                      Waiter: Shaken or stirred?
Bond: Do I look like someone who gives a damn?

                      Ha ha...badass.

I liked it. Much more down to earth and realistic than the brosnen's. Just seemed like a badass guy and broke a lot of the stereotypes of bond in the recent movies w/ all the hightech gadgets and such. Thought this broke all of those with him just kickin some ass rather than all the fancy stuff.

Fuckin' a right, that Ford is damn cool, I really like it. I kind of looks like a Holden HSV.

I don't agree about Brosnan, but then again, I'm not a Bond fanatic. Shit, I haven't even seen all of the movies. But I completely echo your last statement about Craig and the film.
