Yea, Tillman was a HERO. He gave up millions in the NFL to be a Ranger and serve his country. It's just a shame he was killed by ff... IMO Iraq isnt going to end anytime soon, and if we try to pull everyone back all at once, that place is gonna be a breeding ground for more anti-western fundamentalists. When I was there, we werent fighting just Iraqis. Iranians, Syrians, Jordanians, Indonesians and Chechnyans among others flocked to Iraq to fight us and the Brits. Not that I endorse the war but if we pull out, Iraq goes into a civil war, democracy there fails(not that it had a great chance) and they lose control of their country opening it up for all the jihadist that want a crack at us. If they stayed in their own little area none of this would matter, but they can get us where we live. They've proven that. Us being over there no matter how much it sucks is a way to prevent that from happening. And just for the record, I'm not some brainwashed gun-toting republican. I personally think Bush is an idiot and that politicians should be shot. They all have their hands in either arab oil or the weapons companies and are making a killing at our expense.

Are you numb? Tillman is one of the most stand up individuals this country has seen in a long time. The guy had it made in the NFL and made millions every year. Yet he understood that his oppotunity to do so was based upon the freedoms this country gives him, and he felt that it was his duty to uphold those freedoms by enlisting. He gave up everything to fight for a cause he believed in, something I doubt youd ever have the stones or the morals to do. You can criticize the administration all you want, but dont go slandering the troops who fight for your freedom to bitch about something you have no idea about on an internet forum. The truth is that there are no good politicians in office right now, and no good ones to vote for this election. Wether you're a Democrat or a Republican I think we can agree on that. What we need is another FDR, someone who will break party lines and unite the whole country towards a common goal. Our country would be in a lot better position right now if we werent split right down the middle. Instead of referring to ourselves as Republican or Democrat, can't we all just be Americans?

My youngest brother graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy with his doctorate of pharmacy almost 2 years ago, and THEN joined the United States Army as a Captain. Why? I asked the same question. "Because", he said, "I feel like it's my duty to serve my country, they NEED Pharmacist's in the Army." That my friend is honorable and I can't argue with his desire to do so. And for that arrogant piece of shit bastard Kerry, to make asinine comments like that about peopel like my brother, really tweaks me. My brother, and people like him, have more sense, smarts, intelligence, honor, values, morals, etc. in their little fingers, than Kerry has in his whole body.
