    How is progressive?

Well the day has come, im getting dropped from my current insurence because im such a badass. I just checked out progressive and I can get just liability for $175 a month with 250k in medical all the way around. I can do $125 if I skimp with 30k medical but I think I will just shell out the exta $50 to be safe.

Anyone have progressive? Thoughts? If they are good I might buy a little comprehensive too.

Geico has alwasy been the cheapest every time I have checked. Did you try them?

Progressive on average is about $10 more than my geico quote, but I get a lot more coverage. Geico will go 100k/300k medical, progressive will for 250k/500k for $10 more.

Progressive was cheaper than geico for me and they have a policy where I can insure my car for more than its value to cover some of the cost of the modifications if its totalled or, say, a custom part was stolen.

They paid $5100 (Progressive adjuster agreed to use all new parts) to fix my car while disputing with the other assholes company. They got their money back, of course, but that is a big sum to drop on a 20 year old car and NOT TOTAL IT.

Not to mention my agent wears thongs.
            Im now E30less.

Cool, yeah right now im just going to insure my jetta for liability I think, I dont really care so much about that car as long as it works. When spring time comes around though the m3 is going to need everything.

I think I will go with progressive. Im glad im changing companies, my insurence company now is a bunch of assholes. $5700 for my totaled m3 is a joke... Im definatly going to try and jump on your plan with the m3, Im going to try and get it appraised so in the event of an accident or something gets stolen I dont get screwed anymore.

Check with your state laws before you do. My mother has progressive, and we have found it very difficult to have a car fixed. In ohio it is legal, something called 'price steering' [close to atleast] where they expect you to drop off a car at their repair facilities and have them repaired. IF you want to go somewhere else for repairs they are very very unreasonable.

                            Geico BLOWS!
My GF backed into a pole in her '03 Malibu.

The estimates were $2100 to $2800.

They gave us $1050 or so...total.

After our deductable of $500...we got $550.

                            Would not budge.

                            Fuck Geico.

If only I had a camera phone at the time. Every time she would kneel down to look at something it would poke out of her slacks. She was actually bangable too. Her name was Saja or something like that, not even 30.

Responding to Joe's comment: It must be something state specific because, although they wanted to steer me to one of "their" shops, they had no problem paying the shop I wanted to use. They kept saying that I wouldnt be covered by their repair warranty policy but I told them warrantys dont do me much good if I have to take my car back to get it fixed.
