I'm looking to get another jack so there will be one in my garage and one in my dads garage. I was looking at a jack like the one in the link below, one that will get under a low car. Does this look like a good jack or is there better ones out there?

I have the above referenced harbor freight jack, good enough for most things, but doesnt have very good reach.. If I were to buy another it would be this one probably: http://www.amazon.com/Omega-OME29023...8&s=automotive

Hmm, I've been looking at getting a new jack for the garage as well. Here's what I can tell you....
1- the jack in your link (Summit racing) looks VERY similar to a jack I saw at WalMart the other day for ~$70. I think the brand was Black Jack or something like that- they had several different sizes and types, but the one I was looking at was the low-profile ~3 ton jack. An Amazon affiliate has the exact same jack as Summit for $30 less- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...993179-6671949
2- the HF aluminum jacks are OK, but they don't seem to last very long, and they don't really hold up well to heavy use/abuse like the heavy duty steel jacks seem to do. I have 3 of them around here and only 1 of them is still working. They are great if you need to haul the jack around or use it on uneven ground- dragging it across dirt, etc.
3- the Omega Jack looks sweet, but for $200 + shipping, I'd expect it to be. I'll probably stick with one of the sub-$100 heavy duty steel jacks for the garage, and may get another cheap aluminum jack to carry around with me.
Let us know what you get and how it works out for you.

I think that i changed my mind about the HF one. I'll spend a little more and get the omega jack.
