Oh, Cumberland is not that bad. Try coming to my area- all we have is Nemacolin Woodlands, Falling Water and a whole lot of woods!

I have a ton of girlfriends that go to Frostburg college and a ex that lives in Cumberland, I travel thru there almost weekly in the spring, summer and fall to go to Baltimore - It's not that bad of a town!! Atleast there's that cigar bar and Puchinni's :)

I just sat at a stop sign for 10 minutes waiting for it to turn green.

When I get back in town you want me to poke around and see if I can find you a slot out in the gas field doing something.

I got a steady job. But thanks. And it's mostly in this area, there is only a few jobs that does pay decent for this area... It's just that there are no others moving in here cause they was kept out. Toyota, Miller Brewing, some aircraft manufacture, and there are a bunch more others that wanted to come into this area but the growth of this area has been put on hold, i dont know if they just want this place to be a playground for the D.C. and Baltimore folk or what. But it just sad to see what this town was once was. Now it's just the armpit of the state.

Well ok then, offer will still stand if you change your mind, I know lots of guys with pull for several different outfits that are hiring all the time .

I know what you mean about not having any good paying jobs, its the same where I live, we are a huge tourist area. I am working my ass of trying to get in with the Rail Road at home so I have more home time and a reasonable income.

Go to Puchinni's tonight and get steak w/ gnocchi!!

Rocky Gap & Flintstone off 40 is gorgeous in the fall!! And I'm with you with the jobs - for this particular area it seems you do better off WITHOUT a college degree - so my 4 years of college doesn't mean shit til something opens / develops around our area..

I used to live down in Baltimore.. jobs were plentiful and paid well- but it's cheaper to live here vs. there.. so there's pros and cons to both..there's new development with Nemacolin Woodlands - slots are going in and that means more revenue for the county.. but that also means more tourists..

For roads.. you gotta travel up near Ohiopyle to explore what's up there and take the Laurel Scenic Route going towards Laurel Caverns.. it's so relaxing no potholes and maybe just afew suicidal squirrels :)

I just sat at a stop sign for 10 minutes waiting for it to turn green.

                          It was 118 at noon.
