Myself, I like a very dark roast Sumatra, made with a gold mesh filter.

Today, I am jacked out of my head from a pot of French Press. Good shit!

I like what I call "Trucker Coffee"

The type that was over brewed the day before, burnt after sitting on the warmer for 8 hours, shut off for the night, and then warmed up the next day. Black burnt is beautiful.

coffee is the shiz, lots of cups everyday and some days before bed. i drink anything that i have see the beans being crushed. none of the foldgers or maxwell bull. black is the way i drink it too, no milk or sugar, yuck.

part of me wants to call you a homo but 99% of your post is correct. i too hate anything flavored or fagged up with a twist of this or sprinkles or hazelnut crap. i have a french cold press,vietnamese coffee pots,turkish pots , manual and auto espresso machines and greek frappe makers. but you are limiting yourself. every morning i make my wife and i (she isnt allowed to touch it) cappucino's. dont get me wrong, a woman should iron,cook,clean,and make me sandwiches but coffee is a mans job.

I usually brew up a pot of drip in the Krups in the morning - my wife screws it up every time she tries.

She now knows not to even attempt the espresso.

As far as the actual bean - I am not too picky, as long as it is strong and fresh.

8 O'Clock Coffee has some nice blends. I like their french vanilla.

The beans I have now I made a mix of various medium Columbian beans.

i roast my own beans from sweetmarias.com
it's about 1/2 the price of roasted beans and twice as good because it's super fresh and you control the roast temp and length. i like Sumatran and Indonesian coffees the best

all the german coffee here in germany is good, but you have to drink it quick, cause they dont make it to hot, and the cups are gheyly small over here. there is a coffe wharehouse not even 2 miles from my house. every morning on my way to work i pass it, and damn it smells good!!!!!!
