    Citizen Citations are bull shit!

so im driving with my girlfreind to school the other day in seprate cars, and my girlfreind was infront of me, and i saw her merge into the other lane becuase one car was going under the speed limit. According to the police, the lady said that cassie cut her off so bad that her daughter in the car started to scream and she had to hit her brakes...and yah, i never saw her hit her brakes.

but anyway, now its my turn to pass, and i just mosie on by her and go in front of her, and she flashes me, which makes me think, hey, i might no this person, so i slow down to see the front of the car, yah, i dont no them...and i use my inline 6 to get back upto speed! all laughs and giggles right?

    Wrong

turns out today, she filed a complant on me and wanted to give me and my girlfreind both reckless driving tickets...luckly he didnt resort to that, but he did give us both tickets, cassie got one for an "illegal Lane change" for 62 bucks...yah, cool...i got two violations, one for that, and another for "unsafe braking" which total comes out to be 124 bucks...

FUCk this, what do you guys thing about my chances if i take this soccer mom to court...?

any of you guys been in the same situation, people thinkin that since its a BMW that they can just cough out money for a citation...man...sometimes the law SUCKS! lol

    anyway, let me know

That sounds like a load of crap to me. It is basically your word against the lady's and your girlfriend could act as a witness (on your side). I don't see how police could issue tickets like that.

I'd just take it to court, no way in hell that will stand.

This type of stuff really grinds my gears.

The cops probably thought that they could push you around because (I am assuming) you are young.

The police officer's argument is pretty weak. You pay taxes, you could have started throwing allegations her way as well.

Fight the ticket, maybe even call a lawyer, get a consultation.

Take it to court, and rememeber to include the following in your lawsuit, all associated expenses, all lawyer bills, plus a calculated amount of money based on your hourly income (plus taxes and deductions) of all the hours you will sepnd on the lawsuit, also demand those tickets erased from your record.

I am not familiar with law on your country, but here you could even sue her on libel charges and demand compensation once the tickets are erased.

What ivo316 said, not only bring it to court to keep from having to pay it and whatnot, but make damn well sure that its enough of a pain in her soccer mommy ass that the next time she wants to do that for anybody that might "cut her off" (boo fucking hoo, it happens to everybody, especially slow people[haha, "slow"]) she might not go through the trouble to do it again.

"Hey Officer, the other day I changed lanes and this lady started tailgating me so hard that I saw her daughter scream in my rear view mirror. Luckily I had a straight 6 and was able to accelerate away protecting both myself and the driver behind me. Had she been any closer, she could have bumped me and I could have lost control. I'd appreciate if you would cite her for reckless driving, as I am a taxpayer."

                            Should have been your response.
