Broken rocker arm and a curbed wheel... That makes me pretty sad indeed, that was one of the very first cars I ever remember seeing here!
Damn good excuse to build a 3.8 liter high compression L Block M30 though... never worry about rocker arm problems because you won't have to rev it over 6000rpm!'88 528e /// '88 M5 /// '89 951 /// '98 E430 /// '02 M5

high duration cams cause broken rockers? since when? AFAIK he has the same cam as I do - I've bounced off the revlimiter continuously for 10-20 seconds at a time (topped out in 2nd gear autox, stupid automatic) and I never broke anything. of course my automatic tranny didn't like it too much :D
I'm thinking broken rocker arm = over rev/miss shift. in fact he probably missed a shift and then ran into a curb. I doubt EGK2 used old rockers in there...
