Same reason people that need to sell their house after a lifetime of living in it get hurt when they see it turned to shit. Theres a sentimental element to this, I didnt think it was hard to understand. ;)

Someone buy it from him, a little care a new wheel and fixing the engine will bring it back, If you guys saw how I bought mine, there are dumbasses everywhere, I had to do 10 years of maintenance to mine in a week, also i had to retighten all the bolts and nuts, it runs great now and it's being repainted. ;)
