I can't wait for these kind of comments on mine when i'm done with my V8 swap. I think i'll put 305tpi where the 325e was.

I've had people tell me I drove a british car,
    I've had people think that the e30 was a 3.25L engine and the 750 was a 7.5L.

I've had people think my e30 was a 4 cylinder, and that the 750 was a DIESEL.
Oh, someone also thought that my e36 318 was a V8.

ive had FWD comments from a kid at school, he KNEW it was FWD. so i took him out to the parking lot and said watch the rear tires, and kicked it from about 3000rpm. that shut him up

ive had the hood comments, nope thats stock, and its pretty neat too, ive had it pop open at 80mph (my latch is bad) and while it scared me, the design kept it down.

Ive had the brit motor works comment too. i just told them to read the color label. and all the stupid honda racers who sit next to me in class always talk about how the bodykit on the M3's in my screensaver look like a skyline copy.
i wanna hit them in the face very very hard.

Thats an interesting point- One thing that was a big selling feature about these european cars back in the 70's and 80's was the minimal need for maintenance and repair work. And you are right- If your 2004 Honda has a problem causing it to end up on the side of the road, nobody would have anything to say about it.. but if your 20 year old car manages to limp its way home blowing smoke or making noise, everyone talks about that piece of crap car that you refuse to get rid of.

-Seriously, I have 171xxx miles on her and she drives fine. A Accord/Camry of the same age/mileage is a tired peice of crap.

Haha yes, had that before. Once I explained why BMW designed it that way they were pretty impressed.

I guess many people mistakenly assume this also because our cars have struts and rack & pinion steering that is identical to that of a FWD car.
