I have listened to "Dr." Kent Hovind.

Read the wiki on this lameass jailbird.

He has to have the most ill-informed logic of any theologian I have ever heard of.

          IMO, a total crackpot.

Creationists in general have their head up their ass. What a retarded veiw of the world...nothing but colon, baby!

Like the bible has any basis in any reality. Wishful thinking at best.

If you believe that shit, good luck to you.

i want to know why the jews haven't told the christians yet that the torah and hebrew in general is a spoken language meant for personal interpretation. its not meant to be an effing history book. i hardly trust the history books i buy for school let alone something that old.

I liked getting high off the marker fumes as I crossed Darwin out of all of my science texts. It made me feel good. That's why marker trees were created.

Despite who he is or what he has done, you can't deny the logic. How can you get something from nothing?

Why are some planets spinning out of order?

Why is our planet, with everyone on it, have all of this life, and water while others do not?

Why do some of you believe so persistently that it's all nonsense?

You are hopeless. If you think we are to live on this earth and die, and that is final, I feel sorry for you. You have nothing to look forward to, nothing to put your faith in. I'm sorry that some of you are so hopeless.

Call me crazy.. but this world didn't just "happen".

Its not crazy to believe that as much as it is to expect or demand that everyone else does. People can only understand and conceptualize things based on what they have been exposed to.

As an example, if you lived in a part of the world where computers, electricity, telephones, and the internet didn't exist and someone suggested to you that a telephone or email the best way to communicate with anyone around the world, you would have a serious problem accepting that. You would probably say, "Why should I use a device like that when I can just go visit who I want to talk to? Besides, why would I want to talk to anyone else on this planet? I am perfectly happy with where I live, who I know and what I have."

So when someone shares the idea that when we die, we are nothing more than a dead piece of meat, the rest of us who believe otherwise should not find that to be objectionable. Of course we would like everyone to know the truth as to how this world came about but to suggest that someone is hopeless and to make them want to feel sorry about that does not change things.. it only gives them another reason to reject the fact that there is something greater than ourselves.

                            Alright, you're crazy.
What is the more realistic, logical argument - our planet and it's lifeforms slowly evolved over billions of years through a series of physical and chemical processes, or some invisible, omnipotent being created it in 7 days 6000 years ago?
Every day science helps us discover more and more evidence to explain how life evolved and our planet was formed. It was once considered heresy to argue the world wasn't flat and that our planet wasn't the center of the universe. Science proved those notions incorrect. There are thousands of examples like this, and new evidence is filling in the gaps each day.
I just can't believe that people put so much faith in something that can never be proved and derive all of their arguments and justifications from one book.

Can we figure out some comprimise where us Christians leave you heathens alone, so you can burn in hell in peace already? God tells me to share the word, not continually beat people over the head with it. It has been shared, so let's just let those who show an interest PM us, and let the small-minded evolutionists think they have all the answers.

I have to say that the whole reason I never start religion threads is that I just don't care to babysit a thread, and keep it from turning into a athesist-fest, full of stupid comments by people who only care to cite fanatics and whack-o's as reasons not to "buy into" religion. I am far from the best Christian, because, in reality - I don't care if you go to Heaven or Hell. It's your own free choice. If you have heard the words of Christ, and reject it - well, sorry - but as much as I hate to think of you going to Hell, I would rather keep going and share with someone who might care rather than continually waste my time on someone who rejects, even makes fun of, Christianity. Your loss, not mine. Like I said, I'm not the best Christian.

Religion is faith, no matter the flavor. It is by this act of faith that you believe, without scientific fact - because if you had the science, it would obviously cease to be an act of faith. If there should ever become a day you could prove God by science, I honestly think that would be the start of the end times.

So if anyone wants to talk God, PM me.

Otherwise we can all talk BMW's until we all die, then some of us get to go to "E30M3 Sport Evolution on Nurburgring and sunny skies, no traffic Heaven" -- and the rest of you go to "Los Angeles bumper to bumper rush hour traffic, green smog Kia-driving Hell".

                              You choose.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.
