I am just starting to move into my house after a looong remodel. Anyway I am getting a pool table set up and curious what other have done for accessories. Have a couple bar chairs, some LCD's and the table, that is it.

    Any ideas. Pics?

I bought an air hockey table and one of those arcade-type basketball hoops that has the electronic scoring, net, 3 mini-sized basket balls, etc. and more people want to play with those 2 items than anything else in my house. I guess everyone gets bored playing video games and watching movies because people never stop playing either game.

Actually I have a standard 8 foot ceiling also. The unit mounts on the wall and it has the net cage that extends 10 feet away from the hoop so you can never shoot too high.

The game room is fun provided that you only invite adults over to play in it. Children will destroy your stuff.. especially if left unattended. I had a major social event at my house when I had originally finished the game room. People brought their kids over so let them have fun in the game room while we played cards, monopoly, and chess in the family room. Turns out that they broke my air hockey table and nobody said anything about it.

Granted that stuff wears out and screws will come loose and eventually the constant use and wear and tear is going to cause something to eventually break. So I don't mind when that happens, HOWEVER, one of the goals on my air hockey table came loose and the cover was skewed off to the side of the table and nobody said a thing about it. They just kept playing the game until the problem got worse and eventually the goal cover broke completely off.. and STILL nobody said anything yet they kept on playing. Eventually the air hockey table fell apart to the point where it was no longer functional and everyone walked away from it. So when I inquired as to what happened, nobody seemed to know how it got broken or who did it.

So now if I do allow people to bring their kids, I have the room supervised at all times.

My cousin has a 2 story that they live on the bottom, and the top is pure game room.

The living room has a big screen TV with surround sound and leather couches, the dining rooms has 3 slot machines, and in th kitchen the cabinets doors were taken off and 3 of each hard liquor was bought (so you can line em up like a real bar.
The pool room has another TV mounted in one of those corner ceiling mounts, and then through the hallway he has pacman, galaga, and pinball.

No pics but its a damn nice setup

Well I just shot a couple games of pool and mounted two of the 3 LCD TV's, mounted the Cue rack and a couple of Automotive pictures. So I still need several things as it look bare still. Midway has a cool stand up and I found it for 400 shipped.

I was thinking bar put when we entertained last X-mas everyone hung around the Kitchen so not sure I see the need.

Hey Tyler, I reccomend if you're going to spring for a stand-up arcade machine, go for one of those SNK machines that you can choose between 3-4 different games on. They always have like Metal Slug, 1942, Samurai Showdown, or things like that. And the cool thing about them is they're cartridge-based, so you can change the games in them.
