Starting with a 964 gets you superior brakes, suspension, interior, and body structure (the newer cars are stiffer).
Adam, stick with the 3.6. While the 3.0s are bulletproof, you get antiquated FI (or carbs) in the deal. Unless you run the old MFI (circa 1973 and earlier) which is a bitch to tune and maintain, the newer motors have way better throttle response.1995 Porsche 993 6 speed
