WTF eco terrorists torch Honda CRVs?

    Car Fires: All Honda CR-Vs
PORTLAND - Arson is blamed for a rash of car fires early Tuesday in southeast Portland.
Around 5 a.m., firefighters scrambled to three locations, 66th Avenue and Center Street, 37th Avenue and Raymond Street and 75th Avenue near Division Street and found three Honda CR-Vs ablaze.
"Very unusual for somebody to target a specific make and model of car," Lt. Allen Oswalt of Portland Fire and Rescue told KOIN News 6.
On Southeast 75th Avenue, neighbors heard and saw the fire and called the sleeping homeowners.
Patrick Howitt looked outside and saw flames consuming his sport utility vehicle. It was parked in the driveway, and fire spread to the house. Firefighters were able to stop the flames before major damage was done to the home.
"I came out and told my wife to get to the back yard, and it was totally engulfed in flames, unbelievably like a bomb went off," he said.
Officials say the gas cap doors were open on all the SUVs.
"There's fuel in there. That's fuel for the fire, fuel for the car -- it works both ways," Oswalt said.
    The fires remain under investigation.

That is nuts. How could they think that this could help anything? I mean, the cr-v is not a gas guzzler and all the toxins from the cars on fire must be pretty bad for the air. Stupid fucks.

Those tree huggers are ignorant knuckle walkers anyhow. Just to show you the hipocracy of this madness, they fight against deforestation even though they have furniture in a house with a fence around it all made from lumber that came from the forest that they are trying to protect.

One common misconception is that trees are cut down in order to make paper. This is not true in that trees are cut down to manufacture lumber for all of the wooden products that we take for granted. Toys, desks, beds, chairs, etc. and paper is made from the byproducts of the lumber mill.

Saw this on the news too. My g-friend drives a cr-v and we live about an hour away. I told her to park it away from the house :-) The cr-v is a lifted civic. My new equinox gets a lot shittier mileage than her 3 year old cr-v. I'm averaging 19mpg.

As a matter of fact paper is made out of wood, and not just the by-products, one of my customers is CMPC, which is one of the largest paper mills of latin america, what is true though is that making paper out of any forest won't do, paper mills own their own forests, with trees planted at the right distance for the automated cutting machines, with just one species of tree which grows fast enough for the whole process to be profitable.

Those dicks can hug whatever tree they want, and you will never see anyone from the paper industry cutting it, because it's simply bad business. ;)

Here you can see a pic of one of those "artificial forests"

I highly doubt this was the work of tree huggers. It just doesn't make sense.

Ok.. I stand corrected. However one thing I forgot to mention (and you sort of covered it in your reply) is that manufacturers of paper and other wood products are constantly replenishing the trees that they cut down. And you are right- It makes good business sense to plant more trees as the mature ones are cut down. The environmentalists would have you believe that they wipe out an entire forest overnight and turn it into a toxic waste dump.

Environmentalists also ignore the fact that more oxygen is produced from algea than the rainforests.

                          Its all about marketability.

3 more cars where torched this morning. My cars are 40 blocks away from the last fire.

                            That's way to close.
