    OT:
I saw someone do this with an inspection sticker.. He even got pulled by a VA statie (for no front plate on our way to 5er Fest). No ticket, and I guess the fake sticker passed inspection, too. I soooo want to do this.. no cat, here I come!!

Yeah.. I guess in states where the inspection stickers are so ubiquitous that anything that resembles a sticker will pass. When I lived in virginia, we had both inspection stickers and city tax stickers, both of which I ashamedly admit to forging but I never got caught.

I want this done by somebody, I agree I could make it myself but I actually want it printed on the plastic and the plastic cut out in a nice manner. I should bring it to some local printing/sign shops I guess.

If you absolutely have to have the plastic:

                1) Printable overhead transparency
                2) Color laser printer
                3) Piece of plastic from Michael's or something
                4) Spray mount. You DO have some super 77 in your garage, don't you?
                5) X-acto knife
                6) 20 minutes. Seriously.

But I agree with the above posters who recommended just mounting it on some heavyweight cover stock. Get a ruler and xacto and call it good.

Dude, did you even read this post? You could easily have a new one tomorrow, the real item to boot.

Why go through the mess of trying to make one.... sounds retarded...

Talked to the management, and they issued me another one the next day.....

Pretty sure you can connect the dots here...

                    Update:

Dave so kindly sent a permit that matches mine exactly, except for the print of course. It has been sent to Jon for printing of vinyl to replicate my decal (the one on the right):

That only took 3 motnhs? lol

I'd hate parking my car on the street. I'd probably freak out every night.

Let us see the final product! :)

the hardest part is going to be duplicating the background.

The green, real one looks like it has that rough surface. The Venetian one however looks very smooth.
