Best watch???

I often rely on my cell phone. I have about a dozen watches, many junk, but I also have a Movado, but the one I usually wear is a Pulsar that works well and looks fairly nice. I was going to get an Omega, but I've lost a nice watch before and would be afraid of doing the same.

My wife got an Omega for $5 at a church rummage sale. Some old lady gave them a box of stuff to sell and the woman running the sale had no idea what the watch was. My wife asked her how much for it, and she said $2. My wife said, "are you sure? - its a pretty nice watch." Then she upped the price to $5.

i've had a decent Seiko chrono for about 10 years. Recently picked up an ecodrive Citizen... I like them both a lot. I'll try to find pics later.

That seiko's taken quite a beating through its life, and it's been a trooper.

Blunt's Omega is a nice watch. I wear it every time I'm in god's country.
The Tag Heuer Le Mans and Audemars Piguet Millenary are my 2 favorites, but I can't see spending 3k+ on a watch with a 4 month old baby at home.

oh man this reminds me of a great story. hugh jass was at my house with avi and maybe a few other guys for the weekend a few years ago and he always wanted to wear my watch. i let him wear it almost the whole weekend and when he flew home i sent him an email asking him if he forgot to take my watch off before leaving. i didnt know him nearly as well as i do now but i was determined to fuck with him nonetheless. i told him i looked all over the house and couldnt find it. i said i understood if he just forgot and i wouldnt think badly of him if he were to just return it no questions asked. he bit hook line and sinker and was all freaked out insisting he left it on the counter just where he had found it. i let this ride for a good week and i would post pics of different unrelated things like my car and shit on atrt all week. in the background or somewhere in the picture would be a glimpse of my watch, maybe just a link of the band or it hidden by something else so you could just barely see it. it was like a "WHERES WALDO" thing and everyone was in on it but him. i had him calling me everyday asking if i had found it. i really laid it on thick and accused him without really accusing him. god that was some funny shit. i cant remember how i finally revealed i had the watch all along but he was pissed

But if you ever looking for a watch for an investment, Rolex is the only way to go.

The folks at the Rolex marketing dept. would be proud. Honestly if I was going to drop serious coin on a certified chrono that would have investment value -- I'd go Vacheron-Constantin or GIRARD-PERREGAUX. Cartier is collectible as are quite a few little brands that escape me at the moment. Breitling and Piaget have their markets too.
