I often rely on my cell phone. I have about a dozen watches, many junk, but I also have a Movado, but the one I usually wear is a Pulsar that works well and looks fairly nice. I was going to get an Omega, but I've lost a nice watch before and would be afraid of doing the same.
My wife got an Omega for $5 at a church rummage sale. Some old lady gave them a box of stuff to sell and the woman running the sale had no idea what the watch was. My wife asked her how much for it, and she said $2. My wife said, "are you sure? - its a pretty nice watch." Then she upped the price to $5.
