I am a huge Movado fan. I have this one, the Luno. Movado for me is a timeless design, so pure, simple and elegant. Goes great with jeans and hawaiian shirt, or insane business suit. It is the perfect balance for a watch.Comment

i have an ORIS also, i found it walking the dog with a broken band, found an oris dealer (there's only 1 in az) went to get a new band (it's a dive watch mind you so it's rubber) $150.00 ouch! so i tell the guy it was a gift and ask him how much it costs new $3,700.00! find of the year. great watch, understated, not flashy, but you can tell it is a very nice watch, it gains about a min. every 3-4 months, about the same as the bar owner i work for's $60k rolex does. oris for the understated win!
it also is the autowind thing tooseien Sie größer, als Sie erscheinen

Day or night I always fly with my ESQ aviator. My dream is to have the Cartier Santos Dumont watch but that watch is mad expensive. BTW, Santos Dumont was the first to fly, at least publicly and without all the assistance and shadyness of the Wrights... That's a whole other conversation though..

Jogging, biking etc watch...

"The story goes that in 1904, while celebrating his winning of the Deutsch Prize at Maxim's Restaurant, Santos-Dumont complained to his friend Louis Cartier about the difficulty of checking his pocket watch to time his performance during flight. Santos-Dumont then asked Cartier to come up with an alternative that would allow him to keep both hands on the controls. Cartier went to work on the problem and the result was a watch with a leather band and a small buckle, to be worn on the wrist."

I used to save up and buy watches all the time. About a year ago I started buying replicas as I ruined a 4200 breitling working on a project. I bought the same one for 200 replica style and was very happy, even had my breitling dealer sized it and he was impressed. I am sure some will give me some flake about replicas but give me a good reason why not!!
I personally like the following and would never buy a rolex.
Breitling 1 real 1 replica
Omega 2 real 1 Micheal sealed 1 replica
Oris 1 ralf F1 new sealed
Panerai Ferrari real
Patek Philips 1 replica, Not quite that big of a baller
Tag Wife has a ladies link.
There is a kick ass forum about replicas but the site slips my mind. As for the sealed watches I have a stash of sealed F1 items for a rainy day, basically my saving account.

Check out www.radicalreplicas.com for a great assortment of rep watches. TomPowered on here has one of Breitling Bentley watches and it's a great looking watch and has all the features of a real one at a fraction of the price. The weight of it is great too. Just a suggestion...

I have two different luminox watches http://www.luminox.com/ and both are awesome. They are very rugged watches and all have tritium markings for night time use. The tritium will last years(20 or so for the green and 5-10 for oranges/yellows) I highly recommend them.

Have had this watch for almost 7 years, still on the same battery. I've decided not to get a new one until the battery finally dies, it holds too much sentimental value to me.

Reminiscing...Comment

Luminox... +1. Check out their site, lots to look at. I want one bad. Breitling's are nice but very expensive I think. The ones from them that I like are all like $2k+ so f-that. Luminox is much cheaper and you can still get titanium and sapphire lenses.

FYI on Luminox watches ..... If you have a TJ Maxx store close by go there and check their jewelry counter out and see what they have. They usually have several different ones that are being closed out. I picked up a 200 series, which at the time was still available at any Luminox dealer for $400, and all I paid was $95 brand new !! It is worth the look to see what they have before spending a ton more on one.....Comment
