There has to be some sort of law there against skateboarding in public. I still agree that that is BS and the cop coulda been a bit better about it all.

Shoulda had their M3's waiting close by .

what exactly did the cop do wrong? skateboarders are little fuckwads with no respect for anything or anyones property. i own a commercial building and spend hours upon hours maintaining it and trying to make it look nice. my wife spends countless hours after work landscaping and planting gardens. many times at dusk i drive up there to find little insolent assholes with skateboards riding the handicapped ramp and trampling all my wifes flowers, fucking up my handrails and generally messing shit up. i would have loved to see that cop bust that little fuckers head against a few curbs. not until you have these little shitbags fucking up your property will you understand

I think cops need to use more violence these days in order to teach people a lesson. Instead of calling to complain, I am going to call and recommend he gets a commendation.

Just like these border control agents (Ramon and Campion) who are getting prosecuted and thrown into jail for doing their jobs.

              Wait a second here...

What about all the dirty cops out there who abuse their "privileges" everyday.
Speeding when they don't have to, going through red lights just because they feel like it. Blowing stop signs because they dont' feel like stopping. i see it all the time in NY.

Excessively beating many innocent bystandards because they claim that they are "publicly intoxicated". I can't tell you how many times I turn on CNN and see another police brutality case blowing up whether it be somewhere in New Orleans after Katrina, and also in L.A...

Do you think that people joke and stereotype the LAPD being excessively brutal in force for no reason?

Yes, they deserve credit for dealing in today's world. I know it's tough out there nowadays and the majority of cops are good and do the job they are supposed to do: go home after work, be with their families...etc...., but not that much credit. There are always a couple bad apples that ruin it for the whole bunch, but that's the way it is.

i agree, cops are people and there are a certain percentage of people who are just plain bad. im not promoting police brutality but its amazing how i get thru life everyday with no incident and virtually no contact with cops. anytime ive ever had anything bad happen to me i deserved it. the only time ive ever been roughed up by cops is when i was caught running from them in a car (passenger) and i deserved it. yes there are cops who abuse their power but there are many many more good cops who are trying to do the right thing. in fact i would say there are many more shitheads who deserve to be beat down then there are bad cops. i may be a bit biased as my dad was a cop for 25 years so i know some of the shit they have to go thru

Dude, I don't want to hear that the media is a f*cking joke. They don't show you what really goes on and I'm sure their was really more to the skateboarding story. If a Cop ask you to stop and talk to him just stop and talk odd are good that if you a cool about it everything will be fine but when you have additude and are a dick to the cop then he can do it right back to you. If you just ignore the cop when he is talking to you (which is what the dickhead skaters around here do) they that is stopping him from doing his job properly. Like blunt said their is probably a City Law or a PUBLIC SIGN that stated no skate borading wheater it is "go skateboarding day" or not laws are laws. You don't see the cops just letting everyone smoke pot on 4/20 do you if your caught on 4/20 it's still illegal. If these kids parent would have beat the hell out of them when they were a child and not let them do whatever the hell they wanted they would have respected the cop and listen to what he had to say. I'm 19 years old by the way but I have respect for my elders and a Yes Ma'am and No Sir are always said to people weather they desevre it or not.

hahaha the link to the chief of police isnt even good. its probably overtaxed with replies from zit faced 13 yo's expressing their opinions on this tragedy.
i just listened to it with sound as my wife was sleeping this morning and its even more telling with sound. that cop was totally restrained and did everything he should have in that situation.

Everywhere I go in downtown Sacramento fucking baggypants skateboarders have fucked up everything they can get their stupid boards on. Stakeboarding is a crime when they cause property damage. Police have every right to arrest those little fuckheads. Go to a skatepark or stay the fuck home.

Do you guys thing being dicks about it will keep skateboarders off public property? I've been skating for 12 years and let me tell you what - the nice cops and property owners are the ones i respect. I once got my face slammed on a marble wall for walking on a sidewalk downtown with a board in my hand. Those people didnt see the end of me for a LONG time. Fortunately for them, ive managed parks for some time and get in for free so no more street.
