i agree with blunt totally on this subject.
there was *probably* a "no skating" sign
the cop *probably* asked them not to skate
the fucktards *probably* blew him off
shit went down.
Why couldn't these kids go somewhere else? why did they have to skate right there and get harassed by the po-po? i used to skate on the streets, in friends' driveways, and at parks...and not once did a cop ask me to move.
no, skateboarding is not inherently a crime, but when you resist law enforcement and skate where skating is prohibited it most certainly becomes a crime. those kids seemed like dicks and broken records..."we're just skateboarding!" and it shows major disrespect to the police and to the community when something like this happens and a bunch of 12 yr olds get their panties in a bunch because they think that authority is the devil.
one poster on the nike forum says this
well obviously they did cause trouble shithead.as long as they aren't causing any trouble it shouldn't mean anything....Comment

Come on man, thats not true.
a few months ago this e36 show's up at our shop with a broken belt and a note with a phone number, we threw the belt on and called the number but it wasn't a valid phone number (not that uncommon). we pull this POS inside every night and wait for the owner to show up and pick up his car, he never does. after a couple months of this we don't have room for it one night so it gets left outside. the next morning it is gone. I call the cops and report it stolen the cop gets the name and a phone number. phone number was valid and I was able to call a few times and get hung up on for about 2 weeks, now its dissconected.
most usefull thing I know of a cop around here has done.

Seriously, the cops around here are worthless. Friends car gets broken into, prints found, never caught the guy. Drunk driving on highway goes off-road to pass people, tries to run others off the road. Over a dozen people get a description of the guy, the truck, and the plate number. The cops say they cant find the guy because its a company truck. Fight breaks out in my old apt complex, chick gets hit with a bat. Another fight breaks out. Waambulance shows up before the cops do.Im now E30less.

I got hit by an obviously drunk driver - destroyed my 02. When I asked to wait to see how the alcohol tests went he says no - I have to leave. On the police report it says no alcohol testing was performed. He got a ticket for "failure to control speed" after he ran a stop sign going 60 in a 35. On that same note, when my house gets broken into i know who I'm calling."We praise or find fault, depending on which of the two provides more opportunity for our powers of judgement to shine."Comment

The local shop around here will usually double park abandoned repairs up against the building by blocking it in with the cars that don't even run. And they will even sabotogue the cars that are awaiting customer pickup just so someone does not sneak up on the shop and drive it away.Comment
