there is a big shooting community in Atlanta. A really good bunch of guys. Some good guys to also know in this industry.

I am picking the 1911 up tomorrow. Could have done it today but I was stuck home with no car. I cant wait. Hopefully I will have time to put some rounds down range.
I ordered some eye and ear protection along with a cleaning kit today.
I also ordered a set of smooth (non checkered) ivory wood grips! They should look sexy on a parkerized pistol.

Anyone have any experiences with these guns?
I don't have any other long-term handguns to compare the ownership experience to, but so far I love it.
Only mods it has is a hogue grip.

Ffff****ck! Couldnt pick the 1911 up today because the good people at Bullseye forgot to do my paperwork with me last time I was in with my proof of residence. Now I have to wait till the 16th. Such a downer.
I did get this.

Got some more 1911 goodies today.
2 Chip McCormick 10 round power mags, and some ivory wood grips from woodgrips.com which should look really nice on my parkerized 1911.
I think I am going to be very happy with these 10 round mags. I am told they are as good if not better then Wilson Combat mags.
I like the grips a lot. The one complaint I have is that they could have done a better cut on the out side of one of the grips. Maybe the blade was a but dull.
As you can see the cut on the left hand grip is nice and smooth, and the cut on the right hand grip was a bit rough. Nothing some fine grit sand paper cant smooth out.
The grip faces are really nice.

I haven't looked up who built it yet. I wrote down the serial # before I left home on my new 4S, came back to school, restored the phone to my old and lost the #. I didn't have much luck finding a serial #/manufacturer list anyways. Does anyone know of a good source?ส็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็Originally posted by blunttechI need you to exfoliate my ballsack

I personally have had shitty luck with the CM power mags. My Colt commander came with one and it was a finicky little bitch. I was told by the guys at the local funshop that they are better than the wilson mags and that it might have reached the end of its spring life (even though it was nearly brand new). So on their insistence I picked up another power mag and experienced the same thing right out of the box. Consistently the slide would lock back when there were still 1-2 rounds left in the mag. I did a little searching online and people were saying that the follower design was the culprit to my woes. I switched to wilson combat etm mags and haven't had any hiccups since. Hopefully your gun likes the power mags though. I know different guns like different mags.
