thanks man! will do. I was all nervous because they had called me but its all squared away on my form 1 and should be shooting soon I hope! well once my 80% gets started..

I have not even finished this lower yet and I already want another dedicated and a can. wish I had sent in for them with my other one. its been a long 6mo wait

Why are you waiting to finish your 80%? I wish I had a machine shop to be able to build a 80%. The closest I have been able to do is I folded an AK flat and built a Polish Underfolder from a parts kit.

On a side note, I got that trigger in today and I just finished installing it. All I can say is holy fuk that thing is so freaking nice! Ill have the parts in tomorrow to start my SBR lower. :)

Mine is as well, that is why I went with a Palmetto State Armory lower. All my other lowers are POF billet and Id hate to mess that up with an engraving. Ill be engraving mine in front of the mag well so it will not look that bad. I do duracoat and other finishes on the side, so its not a big issue when I get it back.

You a machinist?

On the other forums, there is a company that a lot of people send their lowers out for engraving. Turn around time is a day or two and is top notch. Price is way fair as well. Let me know if you need a contact.

Also if you are a Magpul fanboy check out some of the vendors for great deals on PMags. Magpul is about to release their new line of mags so the vendors are getting rid of old stock to make room for the new ones.

Ive seen them as low as $10 each for current Pmags.

Naa no machinist.. Just a friend that lets me play with the machines :D

I really want to duracoat my 16" middie but just nervous to do it. Would love a fde coat accompanied by a TA31ecos..mmmm! Maybe if I ever do a block2 build.

Is it Orion? There's a local place, Quentin Defense, where I got my lower, that does engraving for cheap but they only do a few areas and I think I want mine more out of the way like you are doing. Not that I'll ever notice anyways but I want it to be clean. I never notice any of the markings on my RRA lower

the POF billet lowers are a work of art. Not really nessary but its the CIC factor. Cause I Can! I would attempt some other coating other than duracoat only for the fact that it does wear. There are several out there that are better. http://www.cerakoteguncoatings.com/ Ive been doing coatings for about 15 years now. Even contracted by a few local police forces to do their SRT guns. If you lived closer I would teach ya how.

here is a pretty good story breaking on the corvette forums.

Guy orders 3000 rounds of 5.56 ammo. UPS dropped it at the door and before the owner got home the police confiscate it leaving a note and a call asking what his intent was.

First off, how the fuck did the police know about this purchase and second this is extortion at its finest!

^ thats pretty scary. It makes me wonder because i ordered my AR15 pistol grip from AIM Surplus and it came in just a padded paper envelope (no problem with that) but when it arrived apparently the top had been cut open as if somebody looked in it. My father was the one who received the package and he said he got it out of the mail like that. Its a clean open cut, not like it was torn or anything from handling. Was USPS looking in my package to see what I had ordered?

Also, I know I've been whoring my AR a lot in this thread so this will be the last one for a while but i got my light mounted on my handguards and I love the look and feel of it so far:
