You should get a Knoxx stock for that Mossberg. Absorbs like 80% of the recoil and looks/feels really nice. Knoxx Shotgun STocks: click here Look around the site too as they have other cool stuff. I have the SpecOps Adjustable stock on my mossberg. I love it.
Well, posterity, you will never know what it cost us to preserve your freedom. I only hope that you will make a good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in heaven that I ever took half the pains to preserve it.

Oh by the way I shot my Colt today and I've got to say it amazing. I didn't want to shoot anything else.

I bought a Wilson Combat magazine and went shooting. Conclusion? This 36 year old gun is my new favorite, seriously I love it!!! I shot really nice and accurate with it. Keep in mind that this is my first time ever shooting this gun as well as the fact that I basically never shot a 1911 before. I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything, but I just want you to know that you have it in your to shoot at least somewhat well.
*Also I really love the way the Wilson Combat mag looks in the gun, classy.
A couple negatives....the front site is a bit loose but didn't affect accuracy (mostly because of my pure awesomeness ). Another thing is that the when using the Colt 6 round? magazine that came with the gun it would stay locked back when the last round was spent.
Here's my Colt with the new mag in it and the targets. For the most part I was doing 3 shot groups. I think I may have loaded 5 rounds a couple times? I'll have to look at what targets I'm posting.

wow i got into this thread late. Me and a few friends have several rifles out here on Long Island, it would be cool if I was able to find another r3v'r in the area with the same interests..we are usually out at Brookhaven range most of the time..

Thats what I hate about 1911's. Everytime I shoot one I want to buy it. Have you had any problems with it jamming?

Nope, although that was my first time shooting it. I bought 250 rounds of 1st time reload ammo and went through a lot of it. I'm guessing I shot near 200 rounds of through the 1911. I also shot my Walther P99 and P22. I planned on shooting the .22 a bunch to save money or something but the 1911 is so nice and precise that it stole my attention.
I bought a membership at the shooting range which is nice. It also keeps the peasants out. I can't be bothered by the common folks and their problems.
