Ammo availability would be the only reason I could see to have a 40-9 conversion. Both are readily available now though.Comment

looks like Sig-Sauer is releasing a new P220 in 10mm. This could be my first 10mm pistol.

Actually it is for the most part, and I carry that as well,. But I carry a 45cal X frame as back up and is situation dependent which one i reach for 1st.... Have put my hands on them both a few times but never needed to pull either out. Bears generally just want to be left alone anyway.Originally posted by FusionIf a car is the epitome of freedom, than an electric car is house arrest with your wife titty fucking your next door neighbor.

Been there, done that. Then I sold the G23 and got a G19. Didn't make much sense to put that much into converting a gun to another caliber when you might as well save the extra couple hundred and buy another gun.

Don't get me wrong, back when price differences between 9 and .40 were greater it made sense. Or when availability of one or the other was sparse.
Now I just make sure I have enough ammo to get me by should an ammo drought occur. Prices between 9-40-45 is pretty negligible IMO.Comment

I've got a serious boner for a Springfield XDM 5.25 right now. Might settle for the 4.5 if the competition model is too pricey. Need to sell my brand new FNS-9 long slide first. Love the FN but it doesn't fit my hand (small thumbs) as well as the XDM does. Not to mention the 3 free mag deal that Springfield is running right now.Comment

I had the XDm 4.5 in 9mm and really loved it. I'm still kicking myself for selling it.

yet the weight on that thing has got to be around the 25lb mark, loaded. Other than seeing something different, it really has no advantage over a single AR platform rifle.Build your own dreams, or someone else will hire you to build theirs!

Any Sig fans? Might be trading the fnp45 for a 229r tomorrow. Chambered in .40. I love the fnp but that p229 looks very nice and more economical to shoot. Plus it would be easier to stock up on. 40 and 9 rather than adding another caliber. No E30 ClubOriginally posted by MrBurgundyAnyways, mustangs are gay and mini vans are faster than your car, you just have to deal with that.Comment
