How is it working out for him, I'm interested in converting my LE6920 into 6.5 or 6.8SPC. Yeah, its just for IR bro. Makes a huge difference when using NVG's when there's no moon or you're going through a house. Have a Surefire Scout light myself, things are great and blind the living day lights out of ppl(with no IR cap of course)

Joined the Glock club yesterday.
Got rid of the FNP in exchange for a G17 RFT2, TFO night sights, beavertail, and 4 magazines. I stripped it last night for a good cleaning (Seems every time I buy a used gun, it is filthy), and I gotta say I love how easy it is to strip, including pulling out the firing pin.
I had my reservations, but the feed issues I had along with the horror stories of the FNP's unsupported chamber made me pretty comfortable with the swap. Going to take the LC9 and G17 to the range this weekend and blow through some 9mm.
I'm really considering taking advantage of living in a suppressor state with this Glock. Threaded barrel's run <$150. Talk me out of it, or don't. Ever since I quit tinkering with cars my safe has been getting smaller and smaller. No E30 ClubOriginally posted by MrBurgundyAnyways, mustangs are gay and mini vans are faster than your car, you just have to deal with that.Comment

I had a chance to put about 400 rounds through my Glock 19 this past weekend.
It shot great, accurate, and no jams or issues with the pistol. I need to learn better gun control but it's pretty easy to stay consistent up to about 12 yards. Everything after 12 and the spread gradually gets larger and more inconsistent. In time I'll figure it out. I think I would be more accurate with the g17 being that it's a full size pistol, compared to my compact g19.
I also put 100 rounds through a P226 and I have to say, I really like that pistol over my Glock. Such a nice shooter, and I was more accurate with it as well.
Also finally shot the Daniel Defence AR-15 for the first time in the range, and the next day in an open field near my place in Northern California. Super fun gun and surprisingly accurate at far distances. But damn do I hate 10 round magazines. Such a waste of time.
I now have a few places where I have befriended the owners and have given me permission to hunt wild boar. They own large almond farms in the foothills where wild boar like to roam. He says they are common and a pest. Kind of nice. I'll need bigger guns.world renown Harry Potter expert

I never got the appeal of the RTF guns. They say it provides better grip on the frame and slide, but I've never had problems with either. To me they just seem like something cool that not everybody else has, but I'm not an operator operating operationally so maybe I'm wrong lol

I never saw the downside to the RTF guns other than chewing up your side or undershirt if you CCW. I found the grip to really be that much more secure. I noticed how slippery a gen2/3 gun can be when I went to the indoor range last summer when the AC shit the bed. Sweaty hands+gen3=constant grip readjustment. I'm not an operator either, but I can see the appeal of having a solid secure grip.Comment

So I've done some research, and it looks like my new G17 is actually a regular 3rd gen with a Gill slide... Which is fine with me, because I like the gills, but DGAF about the frame. This just makes it easier for me to send the damaged frame in for a replacement. (If I ever decide to do so, since its superficial damage anyway.)No E30 ClubOriginally posted by MrBurgundyAnyways, mustangs are gay and mini vans are faster than your car, you just have to deal with that.Comment
