Actually I can thank you for this one. It was your rifles that got me looking into the 300 BO. Once I realized what it was designed for, it seemed the only logical choice for a really short SBR.

Since it is on a Colt lower, I will eventually be buying a KISS Commando upper for the 5.56 flavor.

This thing with some heavy subs will be great for our house. We plan on having chickens and a nice garden to feed ourselves, so surely there will be some critters that will be attracted.

Check the inside of it for uncoated parts. Sig has been dropping the ball on those IMO.

Really? Hmm I'll have to take a look! Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to take it apart to inspect/clean since i just went shooting the other day. Really loved the way it shot. I had a P224 that i carried as well, little smaller but i loved that gun too.

^This. p299 is slightly smaller than the p226.. I came from a p224, so i didn't want to go too big since i'll be carrying it.

I still want an HK USP or HK45C.

Even though the VP9 was way more comfortable then either of those.

Yeah the vp9 is just so damn comfy. I pick it over my fnx 45 7 out of 10 times. The fnx trigger is just set to far back. It has a large grip but the break is positioned so close to the grip it feels like a small grip when all is said and done. Hopefully that makes sense. Everything about the vp9 is spot on, and the ppq I'm sure as well.

I need to shoot a 1911. My buddy just bought a Remington r1 in SS and says how well it feels. $595.00 at grabagun and then $100 rebate through Remington until the end of the month is hard to pass up.

I know they have a 226 in 40 as well. So I went ahead and googled this and came across this answer.

The 229 comes in 9mm, 40 and 357 Sig. the main difference is the 229 is much more compact. 3.9 in. barrel compared to 4.4in Both great guns but if I were looking for one to carry I would go with the 229. You can compare the two on the following site.

I love my 220 variants, and really am considering getting a 227 in the very near future.
