Just won an auction for a Lewis Machine & Tool CQB MRP 16" Piston! For those of you who know, its been a long time coming for me!!! Good thing I held out for the market to drop, these were going for $2700-$3000 all day long a month ago on GB.com

Now I just have to wait 90 days for a "background check" before I receive it... :?

Not at all, the trigger sits within my belt strap. I wear it slightly past my side(more towards my back). The way i wear it, it fits snugly between the bolster and the rear of the sport seats when I'm sitting.

Plus, you really have to want to shoot it for it to fire. I don't foresee a accidental fire ever going off like this, I'm always aware of it though.

It's just what my local FFL told me since its a "regulated" firearm. I wonder if I show them my clearance if they'll just hand it over. I've had way more intrusive background checks run on me than gun ownership.

I have no idea what the time is for. Perhaps they are backlogged with purchases? I do live in communist Maryland after all and they like to put every hinderance in front of you when it comes to guns.

I'm seriously going to stroll in with my badges and proof of clearance level and tell them that the FBI is probably tired of looking into my background and are just wasting money and time. I just finished a 3 month investigation.

I scored it for $1895 but had to tell the dealer to keep the mag that comes with it from LMT because its a 30rd AND they're not legal to ship to my state...

I shopped around for a few months until I decided on this. It's the best feeling pistol out of everything I've tried. Sorta wish I got the decocker version though.

Unfortunately MD state police are very back logged. You can take all that stuff to MSP but they won't care. Their Licensing Division takes their sweet time doing reviews of their records mostly to make sure you're not wanted in MD for a crime. And because people are buying guns in this state like crazy the queue is huge. (I also bet Licensing was cut to a skeleton crew by O'Malley.)

Talk to your dealer since MSP just agreed in a lawsuit to allow dealers to transfer to owners after 7 days because that is how the law is written. Some dealers are now releasing after that time, others longer, and others are still waiting for paperwork to come back because they fear retribution from MSP.

It's all silly and dumb. The joys of living in MD.

That said nice gun! If you have an out of state relative or friend see if the dealer will mail the 30rd mag to them. I may or may not have had luck with that in the past. ;)

Wow, fuck that shit... I could never move to a state that is that controlled. AS for the price you got it for.... well done! The upper alone is $1550 on LMTs site not counting the defender lower. (and the months of waiting) I purchased mine for my suppressor, to help control blow back. Being that the LMT is very front heavy, having a suppressor at the end of it is not that much fun. It does shoot like a tack though. I can drive a 5 shoot group less than 1/2" at 100 yards. You will enjoy!
