    Oh Well??
    :hitler:
So wait, you are on here ranting about how horrible PCs are and then waxing sentimental about your macs like they were the best lovers you have had in a long time and you are trying to talk shit about US taking computers too seriously?

Ive never felt emotional about a computer, only mac users and gamers do that. Im just bored at work and like to piss in Mac owners Cheerios because you guys are, apparently, too inept to operate a PC and therefore think macs are a godsend. Despite the fact that your mac IS a pc but with linux on it.
    Im now E30less.

Haha, so 99% of the world is apparently fat, ugly, and never has sex while only mac owners breed.

if that were the case then why has mac never caught on? (well, not until they started using pc parts)

You people have the shittiest arguments ever. No wonder you need a neutered OS that does all the thinking for you and a computer company to tell you who you are.

It was humor, I am aware our society is glutenous and has no self control. It is a loyalty thing, just the same as you and I are both loyal to BMW, anyone can take anything to far.

Why do people people debate all this so much, it really is non-sense, seeing it is all personal preference.

Hey! That blond is kinda cute. Oh, she is just walking by because she couldnt give two shits about the iphone, she needed groceries.

You are right, these people obviously all took days off from jetsetting and modeling to wait for an apple product. Its a damn shame these pesky Dells arent breaking all the time or else I wouldnt be so bored.

I'll just use a computer that works.

It used to be Apple, once they hit Intel I switched back to PC, Custom built PC's and Lenovo Thinkpads for mobile (Panasonic for sub-notebook)

Apple has lost that cutting edge ability, I wish they stuck with PPC

Disagree, ive loved them more since they switched to intel, opened up alot of posibilities and removed my main gripe. Compatibility.

I've just lost my attraction to apple, I used to love them, but OSX has come at a large price to me.

I hate the macbooks and macbook pro's, I stand by the fact that they are poorly built, and apple support is terrible. Why should I need to buy applecare? I have an issue buying an extended warranty on a laptop that I KNOW will break.

And after warranty, what do you have? Crap inverter on the LCD blew out, well Apple won't sell you the part, but they will gladly charge you to install it.. HD fail, tough luck apple will want you to bring it in and replace it.

My ibook went through 3 logic boards, my powerbook 2 superdrives, and the second replacement didn't even fix it, after fighting apple to fix it properly (they claimed it worked fine when they tested it, yet it still burns coasters and makes clicking noises) I finally just bought a damn slot load drive from newegg, ripped the damn thing apart myself and repaired it.

I've just had it. If I call Lenovo support I have a part sent to me overnight within 10 min, including the damn motherboard if I wanted..

I had a T41 die at the office, motherboard went out, called Lenovo, they offered an onsite tech in 2 days (had to order the part) I asked if they could overnight me the part myself, they asked me if I was okay installing it, said yes, and presto, new part next day.

I want apple to support more pro users, who don't like waiting for some apple genius to get to them, nothing pisses me off more then sitting in line for 3 hours to get a damn Superdrive repaired.

Apple with Intel is interesting, and all I have is the OS now, which I admit I still prefer, but with Lenovo imho producing better laptops its time to jump ship again.

As weird as it is, my current fav combo is a Lenovo Thinkpad (my T43p currently) and Windows 2003 Server as the OS, its fast as hell, and has no bloat whatsoever (its still no 2000, but damn its close)

Apple is not for everybody anymore, my next desktop will me an Intel QuadCore.

Ryan why so bitter? It almost appears that a male mac genius had an affair with your father or something?

Not all mac users hang out side of the apple store waiting for the newest phone or ipod.

I my self am an architect, and lighting designer. Also if you noticed I used to use PCs all the time. I just got very tired of Microsoft not supporting it's users, and when you have a business that depends on the computer to get work done on time, you can not worry about crashes, and viruses. That is why I switched to mac.
I still have windows XP on my intel macs, and it runs quite a bit better there than it does on a windows only machine.
Also a few months back I actually had bought a PC laptop for my CAD person. It had Vista on it and I was VERY disappointed with that operating platform. We could not run the CAD software that we use in my firm. (which runs great on XP)
I got rid of that computer, and bought a mac laptop for my employe, and loaded windows XP on it to run the few programs that we still have to use in my business. But my employe that has been a PC user all her life, now loves her little macbook, and runs all the CAD software native on the apple OSX.

If you love Miatas, and PCs GREAT!

But not everyone has had good luck with Microsoft, and personally I have had much better support from apple. Thats my take on it from a business owner, and my experience. Pretty plain and simple I think?
That is it, and I hope your smart enough to understand that? If not............
Well have fun with what ever angst you have!;)

very true. most are waiting around the "genius bar" for their computer to be fixed because it fucked up and they can't do anything about it themselves and apple tech support is a joke

                                Lance why all the anger?

Like I said I have not had many problems at all with any of my machines.
But to be fair with the PC crowd (and in this case not politically correct either), I do have an old compaq Armada 700 running windows 2000 in a church install we did in 2001 that still works great!
I know windows VERY well, I just switched to Apple because of ALL the problems I had with viruses, and not to mention Microsoft's problems with their OSs. Like using the public to beta test their software when it first comes to market.
I also did not like the fact that windows OS came so loaded down with crap I did not need, and I had to spend more for the so called professional OS, and the professional office software.

When you grow up, and you have to run a business, the last thing you will want, is to worry what next?
I pay for the apple professional support ($100 a year) and I NEVER wait at the genius bar for help.

See there is also something your forgetting here too. I use LOTS of computers in my business, and I replace computers every 2-3 years before the warranty runs out. (I did that with PCs to when I used to run them for my work). Computer technology wether it is Apple or PC is really only good for 2-3 years, and that is if your buying REAL machines, and not some cobbled together $500 POS.

Before I bought our new big desktop I did look in to a Dell workstation that would be comparable to the quadcore 3.0 macpro, and the same configured Dell was $1600 more than the mac. Plus now with Vista I am so glad I did not buy that machine. Anyone that says Vista is great, does not use a computer for their business.

We design the lighting systems for lots of broadcast, and recording studios, and I hate to tell you guys this. But 98% of all Post Production Video, Recording, and Post Audio studios use Apple computers.
Apple has cornered the market in movie making with Final Cut video editing.
And almost every REAL recording studio (not home recording) uses Pro Tools on a mac computer. Also National Geographic uses apple for their software called Aperture.
But I guess these businesses are not real, and don't have deadlines to meet? Nor do they look for something stable that will serve them with out little problems?
