    Any alfa owners?

I found a 94 alfa romeo 164s thats clean as hell at the junk yard. No one knows anything about the car and they are gonna resell it. My guess dirt cheap.

I wanna pick it up, but I bet finding parts for its gonna be a bitch.

Anyone else in the states, or I guess otherwise, own one? Might ditch my mk3 if it comes down to it.

    I think it looks awesome!

Shouldn't be too hard to find parts. Alfa enthusiasts are kind of like BMW enthusiast- you just have to find the network.

That said, there are gonna be quite a few parts on that car that will break your wallet if you have to buy them new.

FWIW, I've seen more 164's in pick n pull junkyards here in the past ~1 year or so than any other alfa's- In fact, the only other Alfa I saw in the p-n-p was a rusted out Milano.

Never been an Alfa owner, but have admired the marque for many years. I've always had a thing for the GTV-6 made during the 80s. The styling may not wow everyone, but that sweet sounding Italian V6 in the front along with the manual transaxle mounted in the back made for a well balanced car. Another neat quirk with this particular car - the rear brakes were mounted inboard (not on the wheel hubs but near the inner ends of the halfshafts). A greater pain to change these pads but my guess is they did this to reduce the unsprung weight off the rear suspension to improve its response.

Here's a website I browse from time to time - not registered, just lurking :-)

Cool thanks for the info, I'm gonna go out tomorrow to pick through some parts cars and I'll ask them what they are doing with it.

I used to have a GTV6. Wish I still owned it. Go for it.

                Yeah I saw that one.

I was reading the forums and people keep confusing old car problems with "alfa problems". such as timing belt, leaky gaskets, etc.. that any old car will have.
